Death in Paradise star Ralf Little reunites with co-star as he returns to role

Ralf Little will be returning to screens after his heartbreaking exit from BBC series Death in Paradise Ralf Little, the familiar face from Death in Paradise, is set to return to our screens alongside his real-life mate Will Mellor following his poignant departure from the popular BBC show. Following the success of the first series, pals and podcast teammates Will and Ralf are getting ready for more shenanigans on U&Dave as they bring back 'Will and Ralf Should Know Better'. ‌ The upcoming series will be split into two parts, each featuring three episodes, in which the lively pair delve into what it takes to thrive and adapt during their midlife moments. ‌ In 'Will and Ralf Should Know Better,' viewers can expect to see the dynamic duo embrace new adventures, interact with intriguing personalities, and rise to various challenges, including tackling their first stand-up comedy gig, braving Britain's spookiest pub, or navigating wild terrain without mobile phones. Fans will relish seeing Will and Ralf's solid friendship once more, as the show reveals their sincere interactions and camaraderie developed over a longstanding companionship, reports the Express. Expressing excitement about the upcoming series, Will declared: "We're back! I'm so happy to be making a second series of this show with Ralf - we had so much fun filming series one, and it seems the public loved it just as much as us. "The reaction to series one was overwhelming, and I can't wait to dive back in with U&Dave and Afro-Mic." Ralf enthused: "Somehow, they've let us do this again! I'm buzzing to be back with Will for round two - more adventures, more questionable decisions, and probably more moments where we ask, 'What on earth are we doing?' I'm incredibly grateful for the response to the first series, and I can't wait to get started on the next!" ‌ Commenting on the show, Jason Dawson, Commissioning Executive, remarked, "The U&Dave audience completely fell in love with Will and Ralf's incredible chemistry, emotional depth, and cheeky charm the first time round, so we're delighted to bring them much more of it." He continued to share his initial concerns but also his reassured excitement, saying, "To be honest, after the boys' learning so much about themselves and each other in series one, I was concerned that they might've become a little too sensible ahead of series two! However, from early conversations with the pair and the brilliant team at Afro-Mic, I'm happy to confirm that there's still plenty of work to be done!" ‌ Last year was a sad one for Death in Paradise fans, as Ralf announced his departure from his role as Detective Neville Parker. Don Gilet has stepped into Saint Marie's detective shoes, now playing Mervin Wilson. Speaking of his departure, the actor shared: "So, there you have it! The secret's out! My time on Saint Marie has come to an end. But, what an end!" He added, "New adventures await Neville and he got to sail off into the sunset with his best friend, and, you know, who knows what happens for them next!". "I just want to say, just an enormous thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show. When I arrived, four-and-a-half years ago, I knew I had big shoes to fill. Coming into a series beloved by millions, including me, was a huge responsibility." Will & Ralf Should Know Better will air in two separate blocks of three episodes each, with the first three airing later this year and the rest to follow in 2026.

TV tonight: no laughter allowed in Dermot O'Leary's new comedy show

9pm, U&Dave Like Prime Video's hit show Last One Laughing (but not nearly as good), here's another comedy competition that rewards silence – and this time it's the audience who need to shut it, or else the £250,000 prize fund dwindles with each outburst. Trying to break them in week one: comedians including Katherine Ryan, Seann Walsh and Fatiha El-Ghorri. Dermot O'Leary is the host with a few tricks of his own up his sleeve – and he's the only one allowed to laugh. Hollie Richardson 10pm, BBC Four Initially, the BBC refused to play Richard Dimbleby's broadcasts of the horrors he found when he joined British troops as they discovered Belsen death camp – they didn't believe the scenes he described. He returned to the camp twice, and filmed both times. Now, 80 years since the liberation, his son Jonathan tells the story of his father's visits to Belsen, the significance of his work and the lasting impact it had on his life. HR 6.30pm, BBC Two A brand-new cooking series in which acclaimed Irish chef Anna Haugh takes a foodie tour of Ireland, with a celebrity chef in tow. She starts in Cork with Katherine Ryan – whose father was from the county – where they visit Ballymaloe cookery school, and then eat their way around one of Europe's oldest food markets. HR 9pm, Channel 4 Theatre 6 at the Royal Blackburn hospital is the only room for unplanned surgeries, leading to some scrupulous, if fairly urgent, decisions. This week it's hosting committed smoker David, 65, whose leg is in danger of turning septic; and care worker Julie, who has just received devastating, life-altering news. Ali Catterall 9pm, E4 The reality dating show that really should have been called 'Lie Detector Island' continues, with Vicky Pattison and 'sincerity coach' Lucinda Light encouraging further frankness from swimsuited twentysomethings, aided by some dubious tech. Now the producers employ the age-old tactic of shaking things up with a new arrival. To the Truth Terrace! Jack Seale 9pm, Sky Atlantic Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Dina's (Isabela Merced) journey to Seattle went suspiciously smoothly – right until they encountered a vomit-inducing massacre site. There's plenty for fans to get nervous about, as the overconfident young pair, hoping to avenge Joel, blindly enter a city swarming with Wolves. HR Raging Bull (Martin Scorsese, 1980), 10.30pm, BBC Two Robert De Niro solidified his reputation as the finest method actor of his generation with the Oscar-winning role of boxer Jake LaMotta in Martin Scorsese's 1980 biopic. It's a brutal, beautiful vision of a single-minded man warped by jealousy, with De Niro piling on the muscle, then the pounds, as LaMotta's career rises and falls. Joe Pesci is superb as his exasperated brother/manager Joey, while Cathy Moriarty gets all the sympathy as the boxer's wife, Vickie, who receives the brunt of his violent tendencies – world-beating in the ring, disastrous out of it. Simon Wardell Women's Super League football: Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal, 3.30pm, Sky Sports Main Event. From Broadfield Stadium. Premier League football: Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest, 6.30pm, Sky Sports Main Event. From Selhurst Park.

Inside Dermot O'Leary's new show Silence is Golden – which left him frustrated and filming lasting hours over blunder

The show's start has been confirmed - and it's sooner than you think golden rule Inside Dermot O'Leary's new show Silence is Golden – which left him frustrated and filming lasting hours over blunder Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) DERMOT O'Leary's brand new show is worlds away from This Morning's iconic sofa or The X Factor. The telly favourite, 51, recorded his brand new game show Silence Is Golden last year. Each participant is mic'ed up while they're seated with highly-sensitive tech that can pick up even the faintest peep. Throughout the show, a series of well-known comedians appear on stage, hoping to leave the audience in fits of laughter with their jokes - and the £250,000 jackpot prize at zero. Dermot filmed the U&Dave series last July, in the midst of hosting This Morning's summer edition with Alison Hammond. Six episodes of the new show were recorded, each 60-minutes in duration and kick off on Monday, May 5th. Before the episodes were filmed, a pilot was recorded as a test run. The run-through was plagued with technical issues, leaving bosses scrambling behind-the-scenes. Each participant had to wear a rather uncomfortable headset microphone, which felt more like a metal hanger on your head. I know because I sat in the audience at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, watching it all unfold. As the show got underway, an adjudicator would sit and monitor noise levels from each mic during each individual performance from the funny faces. This Morning star accused of 'looking SO bored' as Ferne McCann talks about new Dancing On Ice series It would then be decided how many decibels were recorded and what cash would dwindle as a result. The sensitivity issues with the mics left the crew visibly frustrated, and some frowns in the audience as the segments had to be restarted. During the first part of the night, a large chunk of the prize pot had been wiped out over apparent fails, which were disputed by crew and the audience. Even Dermot O'Leary looked like his patience was wearing thin at times, though after almost three decades in telly, was ever the pro and continued with the pilot. After what felt like a 24-hour marathon, the show eventually got on the road and things started to run smoothly, apart from the irritating metal contraption keeping my microphone in place. Each episode of Silence is Golden will feature three returning celebrity captains - Katherine Ryan, Seann Walsh and Fatiha El-Ghorri. The show is natural laugh-out-loud comedy and great fun, and Dermot's energy and warmth takes it to a new level.
