In pictures: Tyrone celebrate All-Ireland win as Louth's hearts are broken

Noah Grimes and Eoin McElholm were the stars as they notched a stunning 4-10 in total from play as Tyrone breezed past Louth to win the U20 All-Ireland Football Championship. The Ulster giants were 1/6 favourites with some bookies for this evening's final and were too strong for a Louth team that had done phenomenally well to reach this stage. Despite being overmatched, Louth did manage to reduce the deficit to just two points at one stage of the second-half, but Tyrone showed their class and pulled away down the stretch. They scored a staggering 3-9 in total in the second-half, swiftly putting to bed any hopes of a Louth comeback. The final whistle was the cue for joyous scenes of celebration as Tyrone's stars of the future celebrated a monumental win. Tyrone scorers: Noah Grimes 2-6, Eoin McElholm 2-4, Shea McDermott 1-1, Ruairi McCullagh 0-2 (0-1f), Joey Clarke 0-1, Conor O'Neill 0-1, Caolan Donnelly 0-1. Louth scorers: James Maguire 0-4 (1tp), Sean Callaghan 0-3 (1tp), Tadhg McDonnell 0-3 (1tp), Tony McDonnell 0-2 (0-1f), Conor Mac Críosta 0-1, Darragh Dorian 0-1, Shane Lennon 0-1, Adam Gillespie 0-1 (0-1f), Dylan Shevlin 0-1. Dalata Hotel Group's new Maldron Hotel in Dublin tops out

Ireland-based hotel operator Dalata Hotel Group has announced the topping out of the new €40m ($45.18m) Maldron Hotel at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland, a construction milestone indicating the structural completion of the development. Set to open next year, the 200-bedroom property is a key feature of the Clonliffe Lands Masterplan. The four-star Maldron Hotel is a collaborative effort between the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and design-and-build contractor McAleer & Rushe. The site will offer amenities such as a gym, a business centre with five meeting rooms, and a full-service bar and restaurant. The development, which broke ground on 23 July 2024, will be managed by Dalata Hotel Group under its Maldron brand, further solidifying its regional presence. McAleer & Rushe has a longstanding relationship with Dalata, having delivered more than 3,000 keys for the group across Ireland and the UK. McAleer & Rushe chairman Seamus McAleer and chief executive Eamonn Laverty said: "It was a pleasure to bring together key stakeholders to celebrate this important milestone and reflect on the collective effort that has brought this flagship development to life. "Nearly two decades after delivering the Croke Park Hotel for the GAA, we are proud to once again contribute our expertise to a project of such significance, while strengthening our successful partnership with both the GAA and our long-standing client, Dalata." The hotel is designed with sustainability in mind, aiming to achieve a BREEAM rating. It will feature green roofs, air source heat pumps, EV charging points, and a traditional hand-built red brick façade that complements the surrounding architecture. McAleer & Rushe's commitment to environmental stewardship is evident in their waste management efforts, having diverted 100% of construction waste from landfill and saved more than 5,308m³ of soil through on-site reuse. Dalata Hotel Group CEO Dermot Crowley said: 'This achievement highlights the strength of our partnership with the GAA, a relationship founded on our shared values of commitment, excellence, and community spirit. 'As title sponsors of the U20 All-Ireland Football Championship, we understand the importance of investing in the future, both in sport and in the communities we serve. This hotel will further strengthen our presence in Dublin, creating local jobs, supporting the economy, and welcoming more visitors to the city.' In addition to this development, Dalata Hotel Group expanded its portfolio by exchanging contracts for the acquisition of CG Hotels Dublin Airport in November 2024. This acquisition includes the long leasehold interest in the Radisson Hotel, Dublin Airport. McAleer & Rushe, which is based in Cookstown, has carried out construction of the €40m (£33.5m) Maldron Hotel on behalf of frequent collaborator, Dalata Hotel Group. A topping-out ceremony has now marked its structural completion, with guests including GAA president Jarlath Burns as well as senior representatives of Dalata and McAleer & Rushe. The 200-bedroom, four-star hotel is due to open next year and will include a business centre with five meeting rooms, a gym and a full-service bar and restaurant. It's located next to Croke Park Stadium, which McAleer & Rushe said offered 'immediate access' to the GAA stadium, along with connectivity to Dublin Airport, major roads and public transport. Dalata Hotel Group, Ireland's largest hotel operator, will manage the hotel under its Maldron brand. To date, McAleer & Rushe has delivered more than 3,000 hotel bedrooms for Dalata across Ireland and Great Britain. The hotel will have environmentally-friendly features such as green roofs, air source heat pumps and EV charging points, and will feature a traditional red brick façade. Mr Burns said: 'Congratulations to all parties concerned in reaching this significant milestone in the project. "The views of Croke Park are spectacular and I have no doubt that the addition of this superb facility will be welcomed by visitors to the stadium and the area in general.
