'Unang Hirit' throws Shaira Diaz, EA Guzman a Despedida de Soltera y Soltero
"Unang Hirit" threw a touching celebration for host Shaira Diaz and her fiance EA Guzman ahead of their wedding next week. On Friday, the UH Barkada held a Despedida de Soltera y Soltero for the couple, bringing in their family members and Shaira's bridesmaid, Arra San Agustin. The Despedida de Soltera y Soltero is a Filipino marriage tradition where the bride and groom bid farewell to their single life in a party hosted by their families. Shaira and EA said that their impending nuptials haven't quite sunk in yet. However, EA said that he's excited. "Matagal ko ring inantay to... 12 years, syempre excited din akong maging asawa ng isang Shaira Diaz," he said. Shaira said she's moved by her UH Family's efforts to send them off. "Sobrang na-touch po kami sa ginawa na to na UH Family. Malaking parte kayo ng buhay ko... sobrang excited ako," she said. "Kinakabahan talaga ako pero excited, and I'm very happy na ilang tulog nalang," she added. The UH Barkada also gave gifts to the soon-to-be married couple. Arnold Clavio gave them a blanket, Susan Enriquez gave them a pillow, and Anjo Pertierra and Kaloy Tingcungco gave them pajamas — all items decorated with the faces of Shaira and EA. Shaira couldn't help but turn emotional during the party. "Bakit parang kinakasal na kami?" she said. "Ang saya saya ko." Shaira and EA have been engaged since 2021, but only publicized it in 2024. They marked their 12th anniversary in February, their last as boyfriend and girlfriend, as they are set to get married this month. —JCB, GMA Integrated News

Bianca De Vera on real score with Dustin Yu: 'Mag-duo pa rin kami dito sa labas'
Bianca De Vera and Dustin Yu brought kilig to "Unang Hirit" during their guesting on Wednesday morning. The former "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition" housemates were greeted by the UH Barkada as well as their fans at the GMA Network Center. At the studio, they cooked beef pares for the morning show hosts. During the interview, they were asked what the real score is between them. "Wala namang nagbago," Bianca said. "Mag-duo pa rin kami dito sa labas." "We're starting over again with getting to know each other outside of the house," she added. "[It's] much more comfortable." Dustin was also asked about the paper crane he gave Bianca during their stay in Bahay ni Kuya. "It's just assurance na paglabas namin nandito pa rin ako for her," he said. "Hindi ako mawawala." Meanwhile, he has also kept the Bianca's hair tie, which she gave to him during the endurance challenge near the end of their PBB journey. The Sparkle actor said "hirap na hirap kami during that time," and that he drew strength from it. "Until now syempre di ko siya tatanggalin," he said. The pair was mum about any upcoming projects together, but Bianca said, "We're very, very excited what's in store for the both of us." In an earlier interview with GMA News Online, Dustin said that he is keeping his connection with Bianca even in the outside world. "For me, wala akong makitang rason kung bakit hindi namin yun dapat ituloy sa labas," he said. Dustin and Bianca, fondly known as 'DustBia,' were among the standout fan ships inside Bahay ni Kuya. They were the latest and last housemates to get evicted from Bahay ni Kuya after losing the last Big Jump Challenge to the pair of Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca (BreKa). The other finalists are: Charlie Fleming and Esnyr (ChaRes), Will Ashley and Ralph De Leon (RaWi), and AZ Martinez and River Joseph (AzVer). The much anticipated Big Night is happening on July 5.
