Rosie Roche, a relative of the British royal family who was cousin to Princes William and Harry, was found dead with a gun nearby, according to reports.
The UK Sun reported Monday (July 21) that Roche – the granddaughter of Princess Diana's uncle Edmund Roche – was found at her family's home in Wiltshire, England, on July 14.
She was discovered by her mother and sister and had been packing for a vacation.
A coroner told the outlet the death was not considered suspicious and there were no other people involved, but the coroner's court opened an investigation that was adjourned until Oct 25.
The 20-year-old was working on a degree in English literature at Durham University.
She was described as a 'darling' daughter, sister and granddaughter in an obituary published in the Yorkshire Post. The notice added that a private memorial service would be held at a later date.
The royal family hasn't commented on Roche's death publicly. – New York Daily News/Tribune News Service Those suffering from mental health issues or contemplating suicide can reach out to the Mental Health Psychosocial Support Service (03-2935 9935 or 014-322 3392); Talian Kasih (15999 or 019-261 5999 on WhatsApp); Jakim's Family, Social and Community care centre (011-1959 8214 on WhatsApp); and Befrienders Kuala Lumpur (03-7627 2929, visit for a full list of numbers and operating hours, or email sam@
