Initially, Jain cleared the UPSC Preliminary Examination with only 2 months of preparation on her first attempt. However, she didn't manage to clear the Mains that year. Her commitment to preparation did pay off with her third attempt in 2014 when she secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 648. Currently, Tanu runs the Tathasthu Institute of Civil Services (ICS), which aims to support aspiring civil servants. In addition, she conducts a mock interview process at the world-renowned Drishti IAS coaching, which prepares candidates for one of the most challenging stages in the UPSC examination. Dr. Tanu Jain, former IAS officer, has chosen to take a new path that lies outside of government service. After spending seven years in the civil services, she made the bold choice to resign, driven by a purpose that went beyond the powers and privileges of her position.
