'I tested the UREVO Spacewalk smart treadmill - it has transformed my fitness goals'

The Daily Record's Nicola Croal tested out the device at home and says it ticks every walking pad box. Walking pads have become very popular in recent years alongside the fitness trend of getting in your 10,000 steps a day, as society as a whole appears to be focusing more on health and wellbeing. This push to be more active can of course only be seen in a positive light, but making more of a conscious effort to exercise doesn't need to come in the form of marathons or gruelling Hyrox challenges. Infact, walking itself is a very underrated, low impact exercise that is known to not only improve cardiovascular health and build stamina but also greatly improve your mental health. The NHS recommends taking daily brisk walks due to the excellent health benefits it brings. However it's been revealed that the average Brit only walks between 3,000 and 4,000 steps a day. This statistic is understandable as the average person takes around 90-100 minutes per day to walk 10k steps and for many, that is simply not possible to incorporate into their busy daily routines. For busy parents, those who work non-active jobs, or anyone who simply lives in the UK where the weather is not pleasant enough most of the time to be outside, finding 1.5 hours each day to go for a walk is likely to be almost impossible. However, that's where the handy walking pad comes in. For those who are keen to be more active but are struggling to find the time to do it, listen up because this could be a game changer. Sure, shoppers could just pay for a monthly gym membership and use a treadmill there or they could just go for a walk or run outside for free. However, does that really beat having a personal machine at home that can be used whenever or wherever within the property and also allows users the flexibility of multitasking at work and in their free time while exercising? As someone who does work a non active job, The Daily Record's Nicola Croal personally find it difficult to incorporate movement into my working hours while I sit behind a screen for most of the day. However, she has now discovered she can actually do both working and walking at once thanks to the UREVO SpaceWalk E4W Smart Walking Pad, which has been branded as an 'ideal machine for home and office use' in its glowing reviews. Priced at £249.99 including delivery on the UREVO website and on Amazon, new customers can snatch up the device for £237.50 in a summer sale discount. This price includes a 30 day money back guarantee and two years warranty on the product. The UREVO Space Walk E4W Smart Walking Pad is a remote controlled portable treadmill, offering a 38 x 102cm large track which you can either walk or run on. The machine, which boasts five star reviews, caters to various fitness levels offering adjustable speeds from 1-6km/h, which can be managed with the magnetic remote control that attaches to the side of the treadmill or with the UREVO app. Despite its power, the UREVO Smart Walking Pad promises a quiet experience, operating at less than 45dB, meaning you can exercise anywhere without worrying about disturbing what you are doing or others. The easy to use LED screen clearly displays the time, steps, speed and distance, allowing you to check on your exercise data at just a glance. With a 4.8-star rating, the Smoture VAC02 has become a popular buy among homeowners, with praise for its "lightweight" design and "excellent" suction power. One five-star review read: "Without a doubt the best hoover I have owned. Really picks up on both carpet and hard floors. Battery lasts for me to get round the whole house. I actually enjoy using this hoover and highly recommend taking into account everything alongside price." Someone else said: "An absolute bargain. Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. Suction is great and the battery life lasts long enough to do the full house of full power. Stands up by itself too." Purchase the SMOTURE Cordless Vacuum Cleaner for 35 percent less on Amazon here. The pad itself is equipped with five layers of the anti-slip belt, 8 silicone shock absorbers, and two soft rubber pads. These features not only provide you with a comfortable exercise experience, but also effectively reducing joint impact and protecting your knees. Fitness fans who are looking for a cheaper exercise option may want to consider the Neo Under Desk Portable Walking Pad Treadmill, currently on sale for £121.87 from £162.49 ad Debenhams. If your looking for a bigger option, Argos currently stocks the Reebok Jet 100z Folding Treadmill with Connected Fitness for £478. Its slim yet robust wooden structure supports up to 265lbs and the pad can not only be easily transported around due to its front two wheels, but also is easily stored under desks, beds and even sofas. However, what really sets this walking pad aside from others is it's smart features. The treadmill can be connected to the UREVO Smart Coach app, where you can take a run or a stroll in real life city maps around the world. While using this mode, the app also adjusts speed and incline, tailoring your workout for you and making your fitness journey fun and immersive. In addition to this, you can also access four exercise modes including free training, goal workout, immersive running or challenge mode where you can race against friends on the leaderboard. With all these fantastic features in mind, Nicola decided to trial the walking pad for herself. Below are her honest thoughts. What I liked When the UREVO Space Walk E4W Smart Walking Pad arrived, already fully assembled may I add, the first thing that impressed me was how aesthetically pleasing it looked. Its wooden design gave it a more expensive look than your average piece of fitness equipment. While an attractive design is by far the least important factor of a treadmill review, this really stood out to me as it perfectly compliments the interior of my house and is not something I'd feel I had to hide away in the corner. In terms of being portable, I thought this treadmill was fantastic for transporting from one room to the next. The machine's two front wheels made it a lot easier for me to move around by myself. However, do be aware that this handy feature doesn't mean the machine itself is lightweight. I still needed help getting the walking pad in the house and out of its packaging. I am by no means a tech guru - anything with too many remote control buttons can often put me off - but I was pleased to say that the remote control operated screen is very straightforward and user friendly. Your speed and incline can also be adjusted through the app which is handy. During my working hours, I gave the UREVO pad a go and was delighted to see it fit perfectly underneath my height adjustable desk, allowing me to practice the art of typing on my laptop and walking at the same time - a skill I am admittedly yet to master. This was definitely made easier by the quiet nature of the walking pad, with the remote control also offering a mute button which switches off any beeps from the machine. However, one skill I have definitely already perfected is the Netflix show x walking pad combo. As someone, who can sometimes feel guilty for sitting down and catching up on my favourite TV show without really doing anything that is deemed as productive, this is a really great way for me to enjoy my favourite show whilst also being active at the same time. And of course I have also tried out a jog through the real world city maps on the UREVO app, which can be downloaded on app stores. To enhance this immersive experience, I mirrored my phone to the TV and chose my maps from there. Being able to virtually run through Central Park in New York or take a stroll through the Alps is very cool and easily kept me entertained for a good few hours as each map is between 30-60 minutes long. I also liked that it showed me how many calories I was burning on the screen throughout my workout which is good motivation to keep going! What do I think could be improved? While I have so many good things to say, the treadmill itself lacks a few additional features which some people may be interested in having. It is a very basic design, lacking a bar or a stand to place your phone or any other belongings you'd like to easily access, which is something that other similar products appear to have. However, the simplicity of this walking pad does make it more lightweight and easier to store which is of course a bonus. Because there is no bar that comes with this machine, there is also no clip on safety belt. So anyone using this device, needs to be extra careful about the speed settings they are choosing. I am aware that the absence of these added features does make the machine easier to fold away and store, which is personally a must for my living situation, so it really depends on what kind of walking pad you are shopping for. Is it worth it? Overall, I am very pleased with my new walking pad. After several weeks of using it regularly, I am impressed with the smooth operation of the pad and am also feeling a lot better for it as it has helped to transformed my fitness journey, motivating me to hit my personal exercise goals. Although it is not the cheapest of products, the price of UREVO Space Walk E4W Smart Walking Pad is definitely reflected in its high quality features and smart technology. I would recommend that it is worth the buy if you are serious about upping your daily step count and your general fitness. Personally, I know I am going to make good use of it and am already thinking ahead to the winter months when it's dark and gloomy outside and I will be able to make use of the treadmill instead of braving the cold and the dark evenings.

Amazon knocks £80 off 'space saving' treadmill that's a 'game changer for home workouts'

This walking pad is great for people working out at home or for those who struggle to get outside. While there is no perfect time to start a health and fitness journey, sometimes the nicer weather or a countdown to an upcoming holiday can motivate people to add more exercise into their daily routine. However, with busy work and home schedules, it can be difficult to find time to go to the gym. A solution to this struggle is to invest in a walking pad. These at-home exercise machines allow users to get their steps in while working or watching TV. These machines are also great for people who struggle with gym anxiety. For those dipping a toe into the fitness world, Amazon has just reduced the price of the popular Sperax Walking Vibration Pad in a limited time deal. Normally retailing for £239.99, shoppers can now snatch up this treadmill for only £159.99 - saving customers £80. Unlike other walking pads, Sperax's treadmill also comes with a vibration feature, which enables users to enjoy a five minute massage after their workout to help relax the entire body. There are a variety of modes available, which can be easily controlled via Bluetooth. Weighing only 10KG, this walking pad can be easily maneuvered around the home or office, allowing users to get a workout in while they complete other necessary tasks. Offering a speed range of 0.3 to six kilometers per hour, the treadmill can bear up to 150KG in weight. Users will also be able to keep a track of their progress as the walking pad includes a LED display, and the Sperax Fitness app also provides real-time monitoring of essential metrics such as calories burned, speed, time and distance. This allows users to customise their workouts to fit their needs. Another popular at-home treadmill on Amazon is the UREVO Smart Walking Pad. Normally retailing for £209.99, shoppers can now snatch it up for £129.98. This treadmill features a 90cm x 38cm running belt, which is equipped with a non-slip surface as well as dual shock absorption for extra safety. Alternatively, Debenhams has reduced the price of the Neo Under Desk Portable Walking Pad down to £121.87. Usually retailing for £162.49, this walking pad is equipped with a LED screen to help users monitor their progress in real time, as well as featuring a 19.68-inch wide running belt. For those interested in the Sperax Walking Pad, it is currently one of Amazon's top choices and has received a 4.3 star rating from shoppers. Many other shoppers starting or in the midst of their fitness journey have purchased this product, as over 600 have been sold in the last 30 days. One happy shopper said: "It feels firm, is well built, and the sturdy frame doesn't wobble when walking. The running surface is comfortable and has the right amount of cushioning to reduce the impact on my joints. Its design is also small, making it ideal for small spaces. When not in use, I can easily tuck it under the sofa or bed, which is very space-saving." Another wrote: "Great buy. I don't get out walking as much as I used to, due to disabilities. This is great for me, as I can do all the walking I used to, but from indoors. "The walking pad is well built, very sturdy and a little heavy. However, with the wheels on the front, it makes moving it easy enough. The speed it can reach is perfect for all abilities, and the remote is simple to use, and reacts quickly. However, a different reviewer noted a slight issue, commenting: "One thing I would say is that the flex for plug use could be longer. I am limited to where I can use it. Other than that one issue, I am very happy with my purchase. Packaging was perfect, and everything was secure and safe from breakage." A further shopper also highlighted another inconvenience, writing: "This is a good walking pad. My only criticism of it is, it should be a little bit longer in length. I'm only 5.8 ft and tend to use it on max speed. "You have to use the exact walking speed because either you end up walking a bit too fast and clip your feet in the front or walk a bit too slow and clip your feet behind. A longer length would solve this issue." Despite this, another shopper was pleased with their purchase, adding: "I recently purchased the treadmill, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for my home workouts. The design is sleek and modern, which adds a nice touch to my home. "I love how you can adjust the speed to your personal preference. Also another feature I love is how it tracks your time and distance which helps with seeing your personal growth and helps you hit personal targets. It also has a safety feature which stops the treadmill immediately if needed. "Overall, I highly recommend the treadmill for anyone looking to enhance their fitness routine at home. It's durable, worth your money, and has made my workouts much more enjoyable." For those wanting to try out the Sperax Walking Vibration Pad, it can be bought HERE.
