Four injured in stabbing attack at company in southern Germany: Police
Four people were injured, some seriously, by a man wielding a sharp object at a company in south-central Germany on Tuesday morning, local police said.
A large number of emergency responders treated the injured at the company premises on Sondheimer Street in the Bavarian town of Mellrichstadt, police said, without naming the company.
The suspect has been taken into custody and there is no further danger to the public, police added. No motive has been provided so far.
Germany's Bild newspaper reported that one of the victims had died and said the incident took place at the site of electric utility company Ueberlandwerk Rhön.
A spokesperson for the company declined to comment and referred inquiries to the police.
