Ugreen Nexode Retractable Chargers review: ideal power bank for festivals
Ugreen is one of my favourite accessories and peripherals brands. It makes stylish chargers and power banks that are robustly built yet portable.
When you are out and about or travelling you aren't always near a plug if you start to run low on power for your devices, which is where a decent portable power bank is useful.
The firm has just launched its Nexode Retractable Series, a series of fast-charging power banks and wall chargers designed for fast-paced digital lifestyles.

Engineered for convenience and travel-readiness, the Nexode Retractable range comprises four devices sporting integrated retractable USB-C cables helping you eliminate tangled wires, cluttered bags and desktop mess.

The Nexode 20,000 mAh Retractable Power Bank employs a similar vertical design to portable chargers from Anker and Aohi. It has a bright and helpful LCD screen that displays the remaining battery level and your real-time charging details. It also has Thermal Guard technology that monitors internal temperature 200 times per second. This means it will stay reliably cool and safe.
You get the ability to charge three devices simultaneously. Along with the 100W capacity retractable cable there are two USB-C ports, one of which is also an input port for recharging the unit. The maximum power output is 165W.
The obvious reason why retractable power banks and chargers are such a game-changer is you never have to remember to bring a cable with you. I've also been testing the Nexode GaN Fast Charger with Retractable cable which can also charge an additional two devices with its USB-C and USB-A ports. It's a really useful device to have near my home office desktop.
