Frank Sinatra Reaches A Special Milestone In One Of His Music's Busiest Weeks In Memory
Frank Sinatra returns to Billboard's jazz charts as Ultimate Sinatra hits No. 1 and reaches 350 ... More weeks, marking a major milestone for the legendary musician. Publicity Photo of Frank Sinatra holding a gun as John Baron in the 1954 film Suddenly. Frank Sinatra appears on two Billboard charts this week, which is a fairly typical performance for the legendary crooner. He places multiple collections on both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums rankings, which list the most consumed titles in those styles — with one being slightly more specific than the other. The late singer sees several projects reappear on the two rosters following a deluge of Record Store Day releases from jazz greats, and he manages to reach a special milestone on both tallies with different offerings. Sinatra sits highest on the two rankings with Ultimate Sinatra, one of his most successful compilations. The set bolts to No. 2 on the Jazz Albums chart and shoots from No. 3 to No. 1 on the Traditional Jazz Albums ranking, soaring to the summit once again on the more traditional-leaning list. Ultimate Sinatra hits 350 weeks on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart. It is the musician's first title to make it to that impressive sum. Ultimate Sinatra is actually Sinatra's only collection to pass 300 weeks on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart. Just four titles in his discography have passed triple-digit frames, including Nothing but the Best (227 weeks), Sinatra: Duets: Twentieth Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) (118 weeks), and Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection (112 weeks). That two versions of Ultimate Sinatra appear on the same list, and not far apart from one another, speaks to the incredible level of consumption his work is still enjoying. At the same time that Ultimate Sinatra reaches 350 weeks on the Traditional Jazz Albums list, Sinatra: Duets: Twentieth Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) also hits a milestone. That set is now up to 150 weeks on the Jazz Albums list. That's not a first for the celebrated musician on the tally, though he hasn't seen many of his releases make it to that number. Four of Sinatra's works have spent at least 150 weeks on the Jazz Albums list. The lineup is similar to the most successful on the traditional roster, as it includes Ultimate Sinatra (315 weeks), Nothing but the Best (251), and Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection (169), which have all hit that notable figure. Three of Sinatra's four charting albums in America return to these jazz lists, with Ultimate Sinatra being the only one that doesn't need to. Nothing but the Best and Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection both bound back onto both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums rankings, while Sinatra: Duets: Twentieth Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) only manages to reappear on the slightly longer Jazz Albums roster.

Frank Sinatra Invades The Billboard Charts Again With Fan Favorites
Frank Sinatra sees three albums reenter Billboard's jazz charts this week, with Nothing But the Best ... More and Ultimate Sinatra returning to the top 10. TORONTO - AUGUST 19: American singer, actor and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century, Frank Sinatra performing in Las Vegas, on August 19, 1978. (Photo by Icon) Many Billboard charts were impacted last week after Record Store Day became a thrilling event for music lovers across the United States. Dozens of titles debuted across the weekly rankings after special editions, new albums, and live recordings sold thousands of copies in brick-and-mortar locations throughout the country. Just days after many of those titles appeared, almost all of the exclusives from the music industry event are gone, as they were typically offered in very limited quantities and have since vanished. The vacuum left behind has been filled by comebacks from fan-favorite artists, with certain genre-specific lists this time around welcoming back multiple collections. Frank Sinatra stands out as one of the biggest gainers following Record Store Day 2025. The late icon sees multiple projects return to several of Billboard's jazz rankings, which last frame featured quite a few brand new titles from superstars in the genre. Nothing But the Best is Sinatra's top performer – when looking at his comebacks – this time around. That title reenters the top 10 on both the Traditional Jazz Albums list (No. 8) and the Jazz Albums tally (No. 10). Just one space beneath that collection comes another from the crooner. Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection makes its way back to both of those style-specific rosters. It makes its way back to the Traditional Jazz Albums list at No. 9 and just misses the top 10 on the Jazz Albums list, landing at No. 11. Sinatra sees a trio of titles return to the all-encompassing Jazz Albums ranking — the largest and most competitive jazz-focused chart in the U.S. Sinatra Duets: 20th Anniversary (Deluxe Edition) can be found at No. 21 on the 25-position tally. The set doesn't manage to carve out space on the Traditional Jazz Albums list, unlike Nothing But the Best and Ultimate Sinatra. Two versions of Ultimate Sinatra appear on both style-only tallies this frame, but only one manages a proper comeback. The original Ultimate Sinatra was still residing inside the top three on both the Traditional Jazz Albums and Jazz Albums rankings last frame. Now, it soars to No. 1 on the former and secures the runner-up position on the latter. Last week, more than a dozen titles arrived on the Jazz Albums chart. That roundup included special offerings from some of the most famous in the industry, such as Gil Scott-Heron, Bill Evans, and both Thelonious Monk and Vince Guaraldio, who scored a pair of wins. Even Joni Mitchell earned her first career smash on the list as well.

Frank Sinatra Fans Send Two Classics Back To The Charts
Even decades after his death, Frank Sinatra continues to hold on the Billboard charts. While his music has often straddled the line between pop and jazz, these days, he's found a home primarily on the latter's charts, and especially on those focused on the more traditional end of the spectrum. This frame is no different, as several beloved compilations featuring Sinatra's classic recordings find space on a pair of genre-specific lists, with a few fan favorites returning for another stay. This week, Sinatra owns a quartet of spots on both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts. Two of his top-performing compilations are steady in their positions, while two others — collections that fans have turned to repeatedly — return to the same rankings. He is, once more, one of the most successful names on these tallies. Classic Sinatra: His Greatest Performances 1953–1960 is the crooner's highest-ranking comeback this frame. The compilation reenters the Traditional Jazz Albums chart at No. 13. At the same time, it returns to the Jazz Albums chart, settling at No. 17. Alongside Classic Sinatra, another popular title from the superstar's catalog makes its way back to both jazz-focused charts. Ultimate Sinatra: The Centennial Collection reenters the Traditional Jazz Albums list at No. 15. It also blasts back onto the slightly broader Jazz Albums chart at No. 19. Neither Classic Sinatra nor Ultimate Sinatra is new to these charts. They've both spent considerable time ranking among the bestsellers in the jazz genre. Of the two, Ultimate Sinatra is the more impressive performer. It previously climbed as high as No. 2 on both the Jazz Albums and Traditional Jazz Albums charts, and it's now spent more than 100 weeks on each. Classic Sinatrahas also reached the top 10 on both lists. While it never came too close to runner-up status, it has racked up dozens of frames on the pair of rosters. Sinatra's strongest current showing comes from another version of Ultimate Sinatra, which remains a favorite on both jazz-focused rankings. That compilation holds steady at No. 2 on the Jazz Albums chart and mirrors that placement on the Traditional Jazz Albums list. Nothing But the Best is also present this frame, giving the late singer yet another entry inside the top 10. The project doesn't budge from last week's placement on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart, holding at No. 8. On the Jazz Albums tally, it lands two positions lower, coming in at No. 10.
