After Spending His Childhood 'In Hotels,' Brenda Song Revealed The Basic Household Chore That Macaulay Culkin Had 'Never' Done Before His 30s
A big part of a relationship is teaching your partner new things. And for Brenda Song and her fiancé Macaulay Culkin, those things were household chores. In case you didn't know, Brenda and Macaulay met in 2014, started dating around 2017, and in 2022, they got engaged. The couple are parents to two adorable sons: 3-year-old Dakota and 2-year-old Carson. For many years, Brenda and Macaulay opted to keep their relationship and family life very private. However, over more recent months, the couple have started sharing some adorable new insight into their romance and how it came to be. Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show this week, Brenda looked back on the early days of their relationship, revealing she was initially 'shooketh' by how little Macaulay knew about laundry. 'Mac is a very unique human,' she shared per E! News, speaking in Macaulay's defense. 'Being the most famous child actor in the world, he lived and grew up in hotels. He had just never really done laundry.' You'll hardly need me to tell you that Macaulay was one of the most famous child actors, well, ever, starring in movies like Home Alone and Uncle Buck. And while Brenda was obviously a childhood star, too, she, fortunately, knew enough about laundry to teach her beau a few lessons. 'It's funny, teaching him how to do laundry,' she said. Notably, Brenda also revealed that Macaulay 'still doesn't know how to drive.' However, she wasn't quite as comfortable teaching him how to do that life skill. 'I took him out to drive in our neighborhood — I was terrified,' she said. 'This 44-year-old man driving for the first time? I was like, 'Nope!'' And though the two have been happily together for eight years, it sounds like Brenda didn't always expect the relationship to become so serious. Speaking to BuzzFeed this month, the Running Point star revealed she initially thought Macaulay would be 'a fling' but soon realized that he was 'the one' when she found herself missing him. 'I got those, like, butterflies in my stomach,' she said. 'I remember I felt like that was the moment I was like, Oh? Is this my person? I never had that feeling before.' BuzzFeed / Via I love these two — so much so that I'll definitely excuse the fact that Macaulay didn't know how to do his own laundry. With that in mind, it sounds like he wouldn't have been too good left Home Alone... get it? (Sorry).
