The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA-OIC), in partnership with member news agencies across 57 countries and international media collaborators, provided comprehensive coverage of the 1446 AH Hajj season. The reporting spotlighted Saudi Arabia's exceptional organization and the high-quality services offered to pilgrims, aimed at ensuring a meaningful and spiritually fulfilling experience.
UNA-OIC released more than 150 news reports and features in over 50 languages, disseminated across global media platforms—reaching audiences both within and outside the Islamic world. This included coverage on 50 European television channels.
In collaboration with the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, the Union translated key sermons—including those delivered on Arafah, Eid Al-Adha, and Friday—during the Hajj season. These translations reached an estimated audience of over 80 million viewers and followers across the Islamic world.
Additionally, UNA-OIC launched a live broadcast feature on its digital platform, offering real-time streaming of Hajj and Umrah rituals from the holy sites.
