2025 Laser Engraved American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin Available on August 20
By GlobeNewswire Published on August 13, 2025, 22:31 IST WASHINGTON, Aug. 13, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Mint (Mint) will begin accepting orders for the 2025 Laser Engraved American Eagle One Ounce Silver Proof Coin on Wednesday, August 20 at noon (EDT). This product is the first American Eagle Silver Proof Coin minted using laser-engraved dies. Struck at the Mint facility at West Point, these Silver Eagles are minted using laser- engraved master dies, allowing for more detailed designs and improving the quality of finished coins. The coin includes a special laser-engraved privy mark. Production is limited to 100,000 coins, and orders are limited to one coin per household. The obverse design features a depiction of Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. The Mint returned to its historical assets in 2021 to render a closer reflection of Weinman's original vision and detail that includes the addition of his traditional artist mark. To Liberty's left is a special privy mark inspired by the laser symbol that is used to indicate the use of laser-engraved technology. The symbol consists of a sunburst design with radiating lines. Inscriptions are 'LIBERTY,' 'IN GOD WE TRUST,' and '2025.' The reverse (tails) design features an eagle as it approaches a landing, carrying an oak branch, as if to add it to a nest. Inscriptions are 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' 'E PLURIBUS UNUM,' '1 OZ. FINE SILVER,' and 'ONE DOLLAR.' The reverse was created by Mint Artistic Infusion Program Designer Emily Damstra and sculpted by former Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. United States Mint Begins Shipping 2025 American Women Quarters™ Honoring Stacey Park Milbern on August 11
WASHINGTON, D.C., Aug. 04, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Mint (Mint) will begin shipping the 2025 American Women Quarters (AWQ) Program coin honoring Stacey Park Milbern on August 11, the fourth in this series for 2025. The Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver manufacture these circulating quarters. Stacey Park Milbern was a visionary leader and powerful activist for disability justice. Born with physical disabilities, her life experiences led her to inspire and empower others, championing the belief that everyone is inherently valuable. 'The fourth coin of the 2025 American Women Quarters Program celebrates the life and legacy of Stacey Park Milbern,' said United States Mint Acting Director Kristie McNally. 'As a pioneer for disability justice, she empowered and revitalized others. We hope this design reflects her youth, purpose and compassion.' The reverse (tails) design depicts Milbern speaking to an audience. She places one hand near her trach while her right hand faces palm up, in a gesture meant to evoke a genuine exchange of ideas and the building of allyship. The additional inscriptions are 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' 'E PLURIBUS UNUM,' 'QUARTER DOLLAR,' 'DISABILITY JUSTICE,' and 'STACEY PARK MILBERN.' Artistic Infusion Program Designer Elana Hagler designed the reverse image, which Mint Medallic Artist Craig A. Campbell sculpted. 'Stacey Park Milbern's story is one of courage, empathy, and conviction,' said Hagler. 'These are the qualities I tried to capture when I designed her likeness, as well as the duality of her fierceness and gentleness. I am thrilled to do my part get her story out, and I am deeply moved by the thought that people can see aspects of themselves reflected on this quarter, and find encouragement and inspiration in the life and work of Stacey Park Milbern.' 'The joy and honor of celebrating Stacey Park Milbern on this coin far outweigh the challenges faced,' said Campbell. 'It's wonderful to do my part in creating this monument to her memory and legacy. This coin will inspire us and future generations.' Each coin in this series features a common obverse (heads) design depicting a portrait of George Washington. This design was originally composed and sculpted by Laura Gardin Fraser as a candidate entry for the 1932 quarter, which honored the bicentennial of George Washington's birth. The inscriptions are 'LIBERTY,' 'IN GOD WE TRUST,' and '2025.' View an image of the Stacey Park Milbern quarter reverse here. Each 2025 AWQ honoree is a powerful, inspiring example of the breadth, depth, and range of accomplishments, and the experiences demonstrated by these extraordinary women. The fifth and final coin in this series will ship later this year. Authorized by Public Law 116-330, the American Women Quarters Program features coins with reverse (tails) designs emblematic of the accomplishments and contributions of American women. Beginning in 2022 and continuing through 2025, the Mint is issuing five quarters in each of these years. The ethnically, racially, and geographically diverse group of individuals honored through this program reflects a wide range of accomplishments and fields, including suffrage, civil rights, abolition, government, humanities, science, space, and the arts. 2025 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin Available on June 5
WASHINGTON, D.C., May 29, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The United States Mint (Mint) will accept orders for the 2025 American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin beginning June 5 at noon ET. Production is limited to 7,500 coins, and orders are limited to three coins per household for the first 24 hours of sales. Struck in 22-karat gold, the American Eagle One Ounce Gold Uncirculated Coin is the collector version of the official United States Mint American Eagle Gold Bullion Coin. Produced since 1986, this coin was updated in 2021 with a refreshed obverse (heads) and a completely redesigned reverse (tails) to mark the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Program. The obverse design features Augustus Saint-Gaudens' full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. Inscriptions are 'LIBERTY' and '2025.' Based on the original bronze cast, legacy details were restored for the obverse design, including modifications to the Capitol Building, stars, torch, sun rays, and other design elements. The reverse design features a stunning portrayal of an eagle, crafted in the highest degree of detail. United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program Designer Jennie Norris created the reverse design, which was sculpted by United States Mint Medallic Artist Renata Gordon. Inscriptions are 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,' 'E PLURIBUS UNUM,' 'IN GOD WE TRUST,' '50 DOLLARS,' and '1 OZ. FINE GOLD.' As an added level of security, this coin includes a reeded edge variation. The Mint benchmarked its efforts against anti-counterfeiting programs implemented by major mints around the world. To complement these designs, each coin is encapsulated and packaged in a black presentation case, which is then housed in an outer presentation box with the United States Mint seal on the lid. The box fits into an outer sleeve with a beautiful gold foil image of Liberty. The accompanying certificate of authenticity also includes matching imagery of the obverse design. The American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin is priced according to the range in which it appears on the Mint's Pricing of Numismatic Gold, Commemorative Gold, and Platinum and Palladium Products table.
