Michigan State hockey lands commitment from local defenseman
Michigan State hockey has landed the latest prospect in their 2008 recruiting class, tapping into the United States National Development Program once again.
Tyler Martyniuk has made his commitment to Michigan State. A Washington Township (MI) native, he is a 6-foot, 185 pound left shot defenseman that is rated as a 3.5 star player by Puck Preps.
After a prep career with the Honeybaked AAA organization, Martyniuk spent this past season with the U17 team at the USNTDP in PLymouth. He will most likely join the U18 program for the 2025-26 season before an anticipated join date of 2026-27 with Michigan State.
He had 8 assists in 54 games with the U17 program.
