Kansas City Chiefs DB Trent McDuffie provides an update on his contract negotiations

Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie recently appeared as a guest on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, giving an update on his contract extension status. "I truly feel like my agent, our relationship has grown so much over these past three years, that is one of my favorite human beings on the planet Earth," said McDuffie, "I feel like I have the best agent ever. He keeps me up to date. If they talk at 6 a.m., (I'm) getting a call at 6:01 a.m. telling me about everything they talk about. Because of that, I feel like I'm just truly allowed to focus on ball, focus on St. Joe, focus on football, and honestly not even worry about the contract." McDuffie was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team selection in 2024. He debuted on the annual NFL Top 100 countdown at No. 81 this offseason, showing increased respect from around the league. He's tallied 27 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles, two interceptions, and 4.5 sacks in his career. Bears HC Ben Johnson expected to turn up the heat on Caleb Williams

With training camp set to begin, there's plenty of talk reignited about the relationship between new Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams. After a season that was overshadowed by coaching malpractice and a 5-12 record, Williams and the Bears are hoping that the first year with Johnson will bring both team and individual success this season. One of the most coveted coaches available this offseason, there's plenty of optimism about Johnson's arrival, especially for his offensive mind and the potential he has to work with Williams. Expected to bring tough coaching to the young Bears quarterback, Johnson's work and development of Williams is undoubtedly the biggest storyline for the team in the 2025 season and analysts are taking notice. Robert Mays, host of "The Athletic Football Show," recently appeared on the "Up And Adams Show" with Kay Adams and discussed how Johnson will challenge his star quarterback. "He's a very tough boss," Mays said of Johnson. "I think that's probably a good thing because the standard, and the bar, the expectations are going to be very high in that building. I feel like hard coaching is what Caleb Williams has asked for and that's exactly what he's going to get with Ben Johnson. "If you watched the Lions the last couple of seasons the one thing that jumped out to me was the details in the offense. The details in the offense were so well coached, so well designed, and I think in order to play like that you have to hold your players to an exacting standard. I think that's exactly what Ben Johnson has done and that's exactly what he's going to do." The relationship between head coach and quarterback is going to imperative, especially after a season where it was obvious the previous coaching staff failed their rookie quarterback. If Williams wants hard coaching, it appears he's getting just that and more, and Johnson will have plenty of potential to unlock in his young gunslinger.

Commanders' star calls Dan Quinn a 'difference-maker'

Dan Quinn ... best coach ???Zach Ertz loves his guy. @UpAndAdamsShow @Commanders Veteran tight end Zach Ertz believes the Washington Commanders have an advantage over other teams: Head coach Dan Quinn. Ertz joined Kay Adams on "Up & Adams" this week this week and was asked to name one thing the Commanders were better at than other teams. Ertz praised his coach. "I would say Coach Quinn is probably the best coach I've been around in front of the team and being himself, and bringing energy and holding guys accountable at the same time," Ertz said. "I think he is truly, truly a difference-maker here in this league, and I don't know if you can say that about every single coach that they're a difference-maker with their teams. But I think Coach Quinn truly elevates all of our performances. And not only on Sundays, but truly every day. And so, for me being around him in particular has opened my eyes to how good he is. I was never with him, I never played for him before I got out here, but immediately, you knew he was a difference-maker." Ertz has been around a long time, 13 years to be exact. He has played for some excellent head coaches and been around some truly remarkable leaders. Quinn is different. There's a reason so many players love playing for Quinn. One underrated aspect of Quinn's leadership is his care for veteran players. Washington signed multiple veterans last season, including Ertz and Bobby Wagner. They looked like they hadn't missed a beat. Ertz played in every game for only the second time since 2018 and finished with 66 receptions and seven touchdowns. And you wonder why a player like Von Miller signed with the Commanders. Washington has a specific plan in mind for Miller so that he can be at his best.

Paige Spiranac Reveals Why Less Clothing is More on the Golf Course

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Paige Spiranac is well known for wearing very tight outfits to create her golf-related content. The renowned influencer has stated several times that dressing this way helps her perform better on the course. Recently, she further supported this claim. Spiranac used her X account, where she is followed by over a million fans, to post a photo of herself wearing a high-collar top, which is highly unusual for her. The former professional player accompanied the post with the following caption: "If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes." "Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like sh*t today." If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes. Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like 💩 today — Paige Spiranac (@PaigeSpiranac) June 23, 2025 Spiranac didn't reveal the course where she played her round, but her choice of attire suggests one of the most conservative venues in the country. The Augusta National Golf Club logo on her headwear could spark all sorts of speculation. With over 4 million Instagram followers and more than 1.5 million TikTok followers, Paige Spiranac's dress style has practically become her trademark. However, she didn't decide on this style overnight. It evolved alongside her involvement with the sport. "I was a competitive gymnast before I switched over to golf. And so, I was so comfortable being in leotards and when I started playing golf I didn't have enough money to go out and buy a whole new golf-appropriate wardrobe," Spiranac said during an interview for the Up And Adams Show. "So I would often wear athletic wear that I just had in my closet and that was leggings and tank tops. That's how I learned the game of golf on public golf courses where there wasn't a strict dress code." Golf is a sport known for its set of unwritten rules that govern the game in its broadest sense, despite being unofficial. The dress code is part of the package and includes long pants and tucked-in collared shirts or T-shirts for men. Women have some leeway regarding wearing skirts or shorts. However, their tops must also have collars and be generally tucked in. The LPGA Tour, PGA Tour, and major championships enforce this dress code, while LIV Golf and the Asian Tour are more flexible regarding shorts. The DP World Tour, on the other hand, handles matters on a case-by-case basis. Its tournaments in Africa and the Middle East allow shorts, but others in Europe do not.
