Chepstow Show to return to racecourse with new attractions
Organised by Chepstow Agricultural Society, the event will be held on Saturday, August 9.
The show is a longstanding tradition in the area, offering residents of Monmouthshire, the Forest of Dean, and beyond a glimpse into rural life.
The show will feature a wide range of sections, including livestock competitions, horticulture, homecraft, vintage vehicles, and a fun dog show.
The livestock competition will see sheep vying for trophies, while the horticulture section will award a prize for the longest runner bean.
In the homecraft section, the best jams and chutneys will be recognised.
The event will also feature a food hall, a craft marquee, and live music throughout the day.
A circus workshop and show will be new additions to this year's event.
The show will also host a variety of trade stands, children's rides, and a public bar.
The gates will open at 9am, with the main ring attractions starting at 10am.
These will include a display from the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, a carriage driving display, a vintage vehicle display, and the Come Bye Sheepdog display - with ducks.
There will also be a grand parade of livestock and a display from the Usk Valley Gun Dogs.
The show, supported by its sponsors and members, also offers membership for access to a ringside marquee with catering facilities.
Tickets are £12 for adults, while under-16s can attend for free.
Parking is free on-site.
