Three ways to watch Premier League football on TV this season for less
PREMIER League football is back with months of thrills, spills, VAR controversy and excitement . . . as well as helpings of despair!
It is great to catch the action live but with tickets tough to get hold of, most of us will rely on small-screen coverage.
Watching all the games on TV can still be pricey as they are spread across subscription channels Sky Sports and TNT Sports.
So here's how to enjoy the beautiful game for less . . .
TEAM UP: You are looking at an extra £48 a month to add a full sports package to a broadband deal through EE. Try cutting costs by paying only for the games you really want to see, and watching with pals.
As the majority of Premier League games will be shown on Sky Sports, you could pay for a one-day membership of Now TV at £14.99 which shows the Sky games.
Then take it in turns to host at home once a week.
If there are four of you it cuts the cost of viewing a game to around £3.75 a time or £14.99 over four weeks.
Or, if you are an EE customer, you can add TNT Sports for £20 a month then view on multiple devices.
You could agree again to split costs with pals but make sure you decide ahead which and how many games you will watch together.
HEAD TO THE PUB: Many pubs put on the top games for punters. Keep costs down by avoiding booze and opting for a soft drink.
HIGHLIGHTS: You can catch highlights of Premier League games for free on BBC's Match Of The Day programmes on Saturdays and Sundays, and later via BBC iPlayer.
