Hero MotoCorp to enter Europe in FY26, eyes global growth

Hero MotoCorp will launch operations in Germany, France, Spain, and the UK in Q2 FY26, marking a bold step in its global expansion strategy, PTI reports. Chairman Pawan Munjal confirmed the move in the company's FY25 annual report, highlighting the company's commitment to 'mobility without boundaries.' In FY25, Hero saw a 43 per centYoY growth in international markets , driven by solid traction in South Asia and Latin America . Munjal said the company is now ready to scale in Europe, backed by engineering excellence and innovation. EV Momentum with VIDA Hero's electric sub-brand VIDA reported a 200 per cent surge in sales, aided by expanded retail presence. The VIDA V2 model has enhanced accessibility for urban EV buyers. The company also strengthened its EV ecosystem through partnerships, including a tie-up with Ather Energy and a co-developed premium electric motorcycle with Zero Motorcycles. A ₹510 crore investment in Euler Motors has helped Hero enter the electric three-wheeler space, reinforcing its commitment to clean mobility. Executive Director & Acting CEO Vikram S Kasbekar said FY26 would be a year of acceleration. Hero plans to sharpen its premium product strategy, scale electric mobility, and deepen global reach while maintaining customer focus and operational excellence.

Hero MotoCorp dispatches 5.08 lakh motorcycle and scooter units in May 2025

Hero MotoCorp said that it has dispatched 507,701 units of motorcycles and scooters during May 2025, which is higher 1.92% as compared with the dispatch figure of 498,123 units recorded in May 2024. Motorcycle sales aggregated to 4,75,164 units (up 0.84% YoY) and Scooter sales added up to 32,537 units (up 20.8% YoY) in May 2025. While domestic sales rose by 2% YoY to 488,997 units, exports increased by 0.2% YoY to 18,704 units in May 2025. The company continued its strong market momentum in the month with 5 lakh VAHAN registrations, underlining a sustained customer preference and demand. The company continued to gain retail market share in May 2025, aided by the positive response for its new products across the motorcycle and scooter categories. VIDA, powered by Hero MotoCorp, continued to deliver growth with dispatches of 8,361 units and 7,161 VAHAN registrations for the VIDA V2 electric scooter range. VIDA achieved a VAHAN market share of 7.2% indicating sustained progress. Hero MotoCorp's global retail performance also showed robust momentum, particularly in Bangladesh and Colombia. Exports maintained a steady trajectory, with growth anticipated in the near future underscoring increasing demand for the company's offerings in key geographies. The company continued its strategic expansion in the premium segment by further expanding the Premia outlets, its premium retail network, reaching over 100 locations across the country. Hero MotoCorp is the worlds largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, with a global footprint spanning 48 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America. It has collaborations with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles and strategic investments in Ather Energy and Euler Motors. The companys standalone net profit increased 6.39% to Rs 1,080.94 crore on a 4.41% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 9,938.65 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24. The scrip slipped 2.27% to currently trade at Rs 4209 on the BSE.

Hero MotoSports Team Rally is further strengthened by the addition of Austrian talent Tobias Ebster. The team showcased a commendable performance at the South African Safari Rally, with Ignacio "Nacho" Cornejo securing a solid 6th place. Despite a fall, FIM world champion Ross Branch demonstrated resilience and finished in an impressive 11th position.

While scooters sales rose by 5,600 units to reach 32,537 units in May 2025, as compared to 26,937 units in May 2024. Domestic sales increased by 488,997 units in May 2025 from 479,450 units in May 2024. Exports sales rose to 18,704 units in May 2025 from 18,673 units in May 2024. Hero MotoCorp's global retail performance also showed robust momentum, particularly in Bangladesh and Colombia.
