QuidelOrtho launches certified analyser programme for rural health facilities
QuidelOrtho has launched a Certified Analyzer Program, aimed at increasing the availability of diagnostic testing in rural and community hospitals throughout the US.
The initiative targets clinics, physician office laboratories, and smaller hospitals with a capacity of less than 100 beds.
The program includes certified VITROS analysers, which are said to provide 'proven reliability and quality results'.
Each analyser is subjected to a detailed certification process at QuidelOrtho's facility in Rochester, which involves more than 140 system checks, functional adjustments, hardware maintenance or replacement, and thorough performance evaluations.
This certification ensures that the analysers conform to QuidelOrtho's quality and performance benchmarks, and each unit is supported by a 12-month warranty for service and support.
The programme features the certified VITROS XT 7600 and 5600 Integrated Systems, along with the VITROS 3600 Immunodiagnostic System. These systems enable community laboratories to perform general chemistry tests, immunoassays, and drug screenings.
QuidelOrtho North America senior vice-president Audra Jones said: 'Our mission is rooted in equipping our customers so they can deliver diagnostic excellence to patients.
'By repurposing and rigorously certifying high-performing analysers, we aim to expand access to reliable diagnostic technology for healthcare facilities that play a critical role in their communities.
'We're proud to support healthcare providers who are the backbone of their communities, backed by our award-winning service and top-ranked customer satisfaction.
'This programme isn't just about affordability; it's designed to improve accessibility and access of diagnostic solutions for healthcare providers in underserved communities.'
