Biker seriously hurt in Gwynedd crash that closed road for hours
A biker was seriously injured in a crash that closed a Gwynedd road the hours. The incident happened more than a month ago but the motorcyclist remains in hospital. Police now want the public's help to establish what happened. They are asking for potential witnesses or dashcam footage - and would also like to speak people who were in the vicinity who may have information that would help. The incident was on the A493 near Penmaenpool and happened just after midday on May 5. North Wales Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a road traffic collision near Dolgellau last month. The collision involved a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a black VW Passat which took place on the A493 at Penmaenpool just before midday on the first May Bank Holiday (May 5th). "Anybody who may have been travelling along that stretch of road and who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have been in the vicinity prior to the collision and who may still have dash cam footage is urged to contact us via the website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 25000371349."

The major incident happened on the A493 at Penmaenpool. It is reported that the collision involved a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a black Volkswagen Passat, resulting in the road being closed for several hours. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd, where he remains with serious injuries. Leicestershire Police appeal to identify car after hit-and-run
Police are appealing for dashcam footage to identify the registration of a car after a runner was injured in a hit-and-run Police said the runner was struck by a black Volkswagen Passat on the B585 Bosworth Lane, between the A447 and Newbold Verdon, at about 14:40 BST on runner was injured and the car, which was "likely" to have damage to the passenger side, failed to stop at the scene, the force urged anyone information or knew of someone who owned a black VW Passat with "recent damage" to come forward.

Traffic light smashed in crash near busy roundabout
A traffic light was smashed during a crash on a busy Swindon road. A silver VW Passat appeared to have crashed into a traffic light at the crossing on County Road, near the Transfer Bridges Roundabout on Friday, March 21. Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured during the incident however a traffic light was badly damaged. 'Few witnessed the collision and some people weren't helpful, saying 'can't park there' after the collision. 'There were no police attending the accident, a woman in her 20s wasn't hurt. 'But the traffic light was damaged but still working. You can still access the button on the other side.'

Man, 31, arrested after toddler dies following three-car crash
A man has been arrested after a toddler died following a three-vehicle collision. The serious collision involved three vehicles, a white Audi, a silver Kia Ceed, and a black Volkswagen Passat. A 20-month-old boy was treated at the scene for his injuries before being airlifted to hospital. The crash took place close to the Holdingham roundabout, at Sleaford, Lincolnshire, on the A17 at about 4.45pm on Wednesday, March 19. Lincolnshire Police said: "We are deeply saddened to report that the 20-month-old boy injured in this collision has died. "He died in hospital at 1.19am on Friday, 21 March. "His family is being supported by specially-trained officers. "A 31-year-old man arrested in connection with this collision has been released on police bail, and our investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing." Police previously confirmed that the 31-year-old driver of the VW Passat was arrested following the incident. The force previously said: "Can you help our investigation? "Were you travelling along the A17 between Sleaford and Newark between 4.15pm and 4.45pm on Wednesday, March 19. "Did you see a dark coloured VW Passat travelling eastbound on the A17 from the Newark area, heading in the direction of Sleaford? "Do you have dashcam which might have captured the collision itself of the vehicles involved prior to the collision?"
