Official – Argentina Wonderkid Back At Inter Milan After Marseille Loan Terminated Due To Injury – Gets Same Squad Number As Before

Valentin Carboni has officially rejoined the Inter Milan squad after the end of his loan at Marseille due to injury. As FCInter1908 note, the Nerazzurri have confirmed their updated squad list for the rest of the Serie A season. Carboni is a part of it, retaining his former squad number. Valentin Carboni spent the first few months of the season on loan at Marseille. The Ligue 1 club signed the Argentine on loan last summer. The loan deal contained a purchase option for Marseille to sign Carboni on a permanent basis. And there was also a buyback option. All of that was a reflection of the high regard in which the young attacking midfielder is held. Meanwhile, Carboni also got his first senior caps for Argentina in the summer. But then, a significant setback curtailed the young midfielder's momentum. In October, Valentin Carboni suffered a serious injury. The 20-year-old suffered an ACL tear while in training with the Argentina national team. That effectively ruled Carboni out for the rest of the season. It will still be several months before the Argentine can return to action. Therefore, Carboni will certainly have no further part to play for Marseille. As such, the French club have agreed an early termination of the young attacking midfielder's loan deal. Therefore, Carboni is now back at Inter. Confirmation has come in the form of the Argentine's inclusion in Inter's Serie A squad list. Carboni has the same squad number as previously – number 45.
