Roughly 250 cars chased out of Vallejo during sideshow busts: Police (KRON) — Authorities broke up multiple sideshows involving roughly 250 cars around Vallejo Saturday night. The Vallejo Police Department, the California Highway Patrol, and the Solano County Sheriff's Office teamed up to stop the car rallies around 11:15 p.m. By 12:40 a.m., the sideshows, which were held by 'unexpected out-of-town visitors,' Vallejo PD said, were pushed out of the city. Man shot twice by armed robber in Petaluma: PD Seven cars were towed, six people were fined and one person was arrested during the operation. The person was arrested for 'interfering with officers performing their duties,' Vallejo PD said. The people who were cited or arrested were from multiple cities, including Hayward, West Sacramento, Winters, Oakland and Fairfield, Vallejo PD said. 'Vallejo is not a place for this type of activity,' Vallejo PD said. ( — The Vallejo Police Department Patrol Division officers responded to a package theft at a business on Friday. According to VPD, the incident happened on the 1300 block of Lemon Street when the victim reported that a male suspect stole a package that had a value of $190 and fled the scene in a Kia Optima. VPD stated that officers were able to see the surveillance footage, which captured the suspect's face and their license plate. The video showed the suspect pausing for a while before they grabbed the package and drove away. After a while, an alert patrol officer saw the suspect vehicle traveling on Sonoma Boulevard, according to VPD. The officer pulled the vehicle over at a nearby parking lot, where the suspect was identified and arrested. Miranda V. The officers then conducted a probation search and found that he had what was suspected to be cocaine. Based on his prior convictions, the theft was charged as a felony under Prop. 36. (KRON) — Vallejo Police said a juvenile suspect who was 'too young to have a driver's license' led police on a dangerous chase before abandoning the car and trying to run away. Loaded ghost gun recovered after overnight San Jose traffic stop Vallejo PD said a Hyundai Sonata was reported stolen overnight Tuesday from the 600 block of Alabama Street. On Friday, the same car was spotted by officers as it sped through a red light and almost caused several traffic collisions. Police said patrol vehicles began to pursue the driver through city streets, but the driver did not slow down or stop – 'ignoring stop signs, swerving into oncoming traffic, and running multiple red lights with no regard for public safety.' Police said officers were able to successfully perform an 'immobilization technique' that disabled the car near Mendocino and L. Ellenburg streets. After a brief foot chase, Vallejo PD confirmed the juvenile suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility. The child's parent was made aware of the arrest. The owner of the stolen vehicle was notified of her recovered car. Police said there were no injuries reported during the incident. 3 men arrested after high-end beauty products theft bust

(KRON) – Three men, including a father and son duo, were arrested for shoplifting on Tuesday, according to the Vallejo Police Department. Vallejo police officers were dispatched to Admiral Callaghan Lane for the report of multiple thefts at different retail stores on Tuesday. Two retail store employees informed police that the suspects stole 'high-end beauty products and fragrances' and fled in a white BMW. Officers located the BMW near Tuolumne Street and Sereno Drive and pulled the car over. Police said while the three occupants were detained, officers found bags filled with stolen merchandise in the back seat. One of the suspects, according to Vallejo PD, had almost a month's supply of unprescribed prescription Oxycodone pills hidden in his sock. He was also carrying more than $1,300 in cash in his pocket, police said. Ghost gun found in Santa Rosa traffic stop: PD Police said the second suspect was found to be the driver's father, who had prior theft convictions. The third suspect had an outstanding felony theft arrest warrant out of Placer County. According to VPD, he is suspected of stealing more than $100,000 worth of merchandise from multiple retail stores. The trio was booked into the Solano County Jail on multiple felony charges.
