TG sets up helpline for stranded citizens in Middle East
Hyderabad: In light of escalating geopolitical tensions and recent military developments in the Middle East, particularly between Iran and Israel, the Telangana government has activated a dedicated helpline at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi. This initiative aims to assist and respond swiftly to any concerns related to Telangana residents who may currently be residing or travelling in the affected regions. As per the latest available inputs from the Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Embassies abroad, no Telangana citizens have been reported as directly impacted thus far. However, as a proactive measure, the helpline has been established to offer guidance, collect information, and extend support to families or individuals who may require assistance or wish to report concerns. Govt. sets up 24/7 control room to assist Telangana residents in border States
The Telangana government on Friday (May 9) has announced setting up a 24/7 control room to provide assistance, support and information to people of Telangana residing in border States. Phone numbers of four officials and a landline number were provided. 'In light of the prevailing situation in the international border, the Government of Telangana has established a Control Room at Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi,' as per a press release issued by the Telangana Bhavan resident commissioner's office. People can contact the landline at 011-23380556, or Vandhana, private secretary to the resident commissioner & liaison head at 9871999044; Haider Ali Naqvi, personal assistant to the resident commissioner at 9971387500; G. The Kerala government too has set up a control room to assist Keralites in States bordering Pakistan, given the India-Pakistan conflict situation.
