Teenage Author Vandita Bajpai Sounds an Urgent Call-to-Action with Her Book Change Climate – The Last Battle for Planet Earth
New Delhi, 11th August 2025 – In a compelling and timely debut, Vandita Bajpai has released her first book, Change Climate – The Last Battle for Planet Earth. Described as an exigent call to save the environment, the book serves as a powerful appeal to the young – perhaps the last generation armed with the choice to effectively combat global warming. The paperback title is published by TreeShade Books and is available on all leading online and offline stores.
Drawing a sense of purpose from her observation of the international community's response to climate change, Vandita's work confronts the stark future of drowning cities, plastic-choked oceans, and unbreathable air. She asserts that the responsibility to diffuse this global time-bomb rests as much on individual shoulders as it does with state actors. The book peppers impactful climate-action opportunities with youthful energy and Gen-Z culture.
Rich in ecological data, the book paints an accurate picture of the grave challenges facing the global biosphere. It highlights the irreversible consequences of global warming, including the rapid decline in polar ice cover, disrupted precipitation cycles, rising sea levels, and extinction of flora and fauna.
A 17-year-old business and commerce student, Vandita aims to bring sustainability to the forefront of not just the larger global discourse but also to local, everyday conversations. She points out that if Gen-Z and Gen-Alpha have the power to make K-Pop a global phenomenon, they can also use their collective voice to draw urgent international attention to the climate crisis. She brings a fresh and actionable approach to one of humanity's most pressing challenges, inspiring readers to embrace their role in shaping a sustainable future.
Talking about the worldwide ecological challenge, Vandita said, 'Climate change is the most serious existential threat to humanity's future. No amount of wealth creation or artificial intelligence can shield us from its devastating impact. Waiting for governments and corporations to take the lead could be a fatal mistake, one that we can ill-afford. Each plastic straw avoided, each hamburger said no to, every tap turned shut – even the smallest effort counts.' On what she expects from her readers, she added, 'My book urges my own generation, the soon-to-be-voters, to shun electing leaders based on religion or caste or petty fault-lines. None of that will matter if the human race itself faces the dark prospect of extinction. Therefore, ask politicians those difficult questions on environment safety. Vote for those who are committed to the war against global warming and environmental degradation.'
Vikas Misra, Managing Editor of TreeShade Books shared, 'Climate change is a topic that needs more research, more literature, and definitely more awareness. As soon as we studied Vandita's excellent manuscript and in-depth research underpinning, we knew we wanted to be the publisher to release this supremely relevant and well-timed book. The title provides a much-needed blueprint for how we can all be a part of the solution. In fact, we hope this book is picked-up by academic institutions all over the world and the citizens of tomorrow benefit from its invaluable insight. Vandita is India's very own Greta Thunberg, says the publisher proudly.
Change Climate – The Last Battle for Planet Earth is more than just a book. It is a rallying cry for a generation poised to make the ultimate choice.
