Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has achieved a significant milestone with its popular Innova HyCross securing a 5-star safety rating under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP). This top rating, awarded for both adult and child occupant protection, underscores Toyota's steadfast commitment to delivering advanced safety and mobility solutions in India. Built on the robust Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, the Innova HyCross combines structural rigidity with an extensive suite of active and passive safety features. These include Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) technology with Pre-Collision System, Lane Trace Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, and Automatic High Beam. Additionally, the MPV comes equipped with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS with EBD, Hill-Start Assist, all-wheel disc brakes, and ISOFIX child seat mounts—ensuring comprehensive protection for all occupants. Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced its sales performance for the month of June, 2025. The brand recorded sales of 28,869 units in June 2025, including 26,453 in the domestic market, and 2416 units exported. which previously stood at 27,474 units in June 2024. Thus, witnessing a 5 percent YoY growth in the month. Also, Toyota recorded sales and exports of 1,74,885 units during H1 2025 (January-June 2025), which previously stood at 1,50,250 units in H1 2024, witnessing a 16 percent growth this year. Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Toyota Kirloskar Motor's Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said- "TKM sales in the month of June 2025 was 5% higher than that of June 2024. We continue to strongly engage with our customers through after sales service support offerings and value-added offerings that are aimed at enriching their ownership experience at every step. As we move through the rest of the year, we will remain agile and focused on what our customers want and continue to serve the market effectively." The automaker sold 28,869 units during the month, up from 27,474 units in June 2024. This includes 26,453 units sold domestically and 2,416 units exported. For the first half of calendar year 2025, TKM recorded cumulative sales of 1,74,885 units, marking a strong 16 per cent growth compared to the 1,50,250 units sold during the same period in 2024. The company's performance included 29,280 domestic units and 1,584 export sales for the first two months of FY 2025–26 (April–May) reached 58,188 units, reflecting a 27% increase over the 45,767 units sold in the same period of FY 2024–25. Toyota has introduced the mild-hybrid variants of its popular SUVs, the Fortuner and the Legender, in India. The former has been priced at Rs 44.72 lakh while the latter retails at Rs 50.09 lakh (both ex-showroom). Badged as Neo Hybrid, bookings for these variants are now open, with deliveries expected to begin in the third week of Legender Neo Hybrid: PerformanceThe Neo Hybrid variants of the Fortuner and Legender are based on the Diesel 4X4 automatic variants of the SUVs, with a Rs 2 lakh premium over the respective models. The powertrain on offer is a 2.8-litre diesel engine that puts out 204bhp and 500Nm of torque, assisted by a 48V hybrid system including a belt-integrated starter generator and a lithium-ion battery. This system serves two purposes: it enables auto start-stop functionality to increase fuel efficiency and improves low-end acceleration while reducing sound.
