If you're in the mood for a love story that's soulful, unforgettable, and truly moving, Veer-Zaara is your best pick. The movie stars Hrithik Roshan as Rohit Mehra, a young man with developmental difficulties. His life changes when he meets Jadoo, an alien who gives him special powers. The movie also explores the sweet love story between Rohit and his friend Nisha (Preity Zinta). Koi Mil Gaya was followed by Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). 'His touch should...': Hema Malini asked Baghban makers for a tightly stitched blouse, wanted Amitabh Bachchan to...
Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini's performance in Baghban left everyone teary-eyed. The pairing was a superhit, and fans loved the two as an on-screen husband and wife. Even before Baghban, the two featured in movies like Veer-Zaara, Sholay, Naseeb, Andhaa Kaanoon, and Baghban were special. The emotion of ageing parents, husband and wife deeply in love but separated due to their kids—this movie felt different. A few months ago, Renuka Chopra, the wife of late director Ravi Chopra, who helmed Baghban, opened up new aspects of the film. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Renuka revealed that Hema made a special request to the Baghban makers. The actress told the makers to get her blouse stitched much tighter than usual. The wife of the late director revealed that in one scene, Amitabh Bachchan had to fasten her blouse, and Hema wanted a specific look on her face. During the conversation, Renuka said, 'There was a scene where she was getting ready, standing in front of a mirror. At that time, Raj comes from behind and, upon seeing her, says, 'Wow.' Hema asked me to stitch her blouse a bit tight so that when Amit ji comes, he can fasten it tightly. She said, 'That touch would give me the look I want'—one that conveyed, 'He's touched me. After so many years of being married, it meant so much.' She is a very romantic person in real life.' In the same conversation, Renuka revealed that Hema was not the first choice for the role of Pooja Malhotra. Initially, the makers wanted to cast Tabu. However, the actress turned down the role, stating that she didn't want to play the mother of four kids at 36. With that, the role was passed to Hema, and the pairing of Hema and Amitabh turned out to be a huge hit.

In the interview, Divya said that she feels she was re-launched by Yash Chopra in a 'very unconventional way' with Veer-Zaara, calling it her ticket to commercial cinema. Divya revealed that Aditya Chopra gave her a piece of crucial career advice, which she still holds close to her heart. She said, 'Adi asked me 'Do you need money?' I said why are you saying that? He said why I was doing so many films? I said because I'm busy, people want me... He said you're a good actor, leave a legacy behind. With the films, you should be known by the choices you make. It hit me like how... I realised that you have to be selective'. She added that she ended up declining several projects after that and gave back 'so many signing amounts'. She credits Aditya for changing her career trajectory. Talking about shooting intimate scenes, Divya recalled the moment when she had to kiss Irrfan in Hisss (2010). She was glad that a female director was there to smooth the process. She said, 'Jennifer Lynch (director) literally nurtured the two of us. And it was a beautiful scene. I said where is Irrfan. She said he's on the terrace, more nervous that you are. I went up and told him let's do it, it'll be all good. Jennifer kept telling us you're a couple, you need a child, he's coming to you... She put us in that mood where our apprehensions, inhibitions, nervousness all went aside. I realised there's an entire unit working to make that scene come out well'.
