Nutanix Named Challenger In 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant
Nutanix has announced it has been recognized as a Challenger in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Container Management. This marks Nutanix's recognition for the first time in this Magic Quadrant following the launch of its Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) solution last year. Nutanix launched NKP following the integration of D2iQ, Inc.'s Kubernetes Platform, enabling Nutanix to quickly deliver a production-ready enterprise solution for managing cloud native applications across diverse environments. This gives Nutanix customers the ability to run modern and traditional applications on the same platform anywhere, including in their datacenter, at the edge, or in public clouds on either virtualized underlays, bare metal, or native public cloud Kubernetes® environments. Nutanix customers worldwide, including a leading North American financial services firm which discussed their use case in this video, are using NKP to innovate faster with an open, CNCF-compliant cloud native stack that gives platform engineering teams a consistent operating model for securely managing Kubernetes clusters. NKP avoids operational complexity, simplifying monitoring, and managing containers. Another customer using NKP is Karnataka Bank in India, which is running its critical business applications, including cloud native customer-facing ones, on the Nutanix Cloud Platform (NCP) solution, which supports Kubernetes. The applications running on NCP enable the bank to provide services such as mobile and Internet banking, fraud and risk management, loan management, and much more. The bank is also running a cloud native digital currency application required by the Reserve Bank of India on NCP. 'Our customers are digitally savvy, so this requires us to quickly roll-out and provide cloud native applications that are easy to use, can be easily updated, and are always available,' said Venkat Krishnan, CIO, Karnataka Bank. 'Nutanix's platform, ability to support Kubernetes, and professional services enable us to deploy the applications required by the marketplace we serve and regulators.' Nutanix continued to innovate in the container space with the introduction of its Cloud Native AOS solution earlier this year—extending Nutanix's enterprise storage and advanced data services to hyperscaler Kubernetes services and bare metal cloud native environments, all without requiring a hypervisor. Fierce Mother: Lioness defends cubs from male lion in Serengeti

This dramatic incident took place in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park , in the Maasai Kopjes area, which is famously known for its rugged landscapes and rock formations. Apart from its rocky formations, this place has a dense lion population. This heartwarming moment was caught live and shared on Instagram by a wildlife photographer known as Venkat Krishnan, who was on a safari when the incident occurred. One can witness in the video two lionesses jumping into action as soon as they sense a male lion coming towards their precious cubs. Male lion stalks cubs; what the mother lioness does next leaves Internet in awe: ‘No greater warrior than a mother'
'God can't be everywhere, so he created mothers.' We've all heard this saying, and every now and then, we witness something that reminds us why it rings so true. A heart-stopping moment recently captured in Serengeti's Maasai Kopjes proves just how fierce and fearless mothers can be, even in the wild. In a now-viral video, a lioness and her sister sprang into action when they spotted a male lion approaching their cubs. Without hesitation, they ran straight towards him, warning him to stay away. The protective instinct was raw, powerful, and absolutely unshakable. Photographer Venkat Krishnan, who shared the dramatic footage on Instagram, described it as 'one of the most epic arguments we have seen in the wild!' 'This lioness and her sister charged at the male who was following the family with small cubs and the mothers clearly didn't want the male coming close to the cubs. It was incredible how the mothers saw the male climb up the Kopje from a distance and ran towards him to confront him,' he wrote in the caption. In the comments, people couldn't stop praising the lionesses' bravery. A user commented, 'It was proven once again that there is no greater warrior in the world than a mother.' This isn't the only recent display of maternal courage from the animal kingdom. In Kenya's Maasai Mara, another video went viral showing a buffalo calf surrounded by a pride of lions. Just as one lion moved in, the mother charged with her horns down, putting herself between danger and her baby. Against all odds, she fought back, circling her calf, daring the predators to come closer.
