Kristen Bell Shares Photos of the Hilariously NSFW Card Her 11-Year-Old Gave Her
Former Veronica Mars star Kristen Bell got a seriously funny surprise when she opened her Mother's Day card from her kids this year. The 44-year-old posted a photo of the card on her Instagram account this week, sharing some of the humor with her followers. Related: Kourtney Kardashian Gets Showered With Love From Her Blended Family on Mother's Day At first glance, it appeared that Bell had received the wrong card from one of her two children. That's because the cover of it featured a very neatly written, "Happy Father's Day, Mom." But, Bell wasn't deterred by the wrong holiday being listed on the card, and instead opened it up to reveal the sweet message that started off the card, which read, "Mom, I love you so much! To the moon and back!" Then, things took a hilariously explicit turn, because they one of Bell's daughters had written, "Happy Mothers Day you creative and [considerate] bitch!" Next to that was a stick figure that was meant to depict Bell and her daughter standing hand in hand. While Bell didn't mention which of her two girls was behind the art — she and husband Dax Shephard share two children, 11-year-old Lincoln and 9-year-old Delta — fans were quick to give the actress kudos for raising such funny kids. "When you know you've done it right," one person wrote. "Happy Moms Day, mom!" "Every possible good parenting choice represented in one card. Genius," another person added. Clearly Bell and her kiddos have a lot in common, since the actress has become known for her sense of humor and sharp wit over the years. We hope the family had a great Mother's Day, and we have to admit that we kind of can't wait to see what the family puts together for Shephard on Father's Day! Up Next:

'Compelling' US drama with finale that 'wrecked' viewers now available to stream
The popular US drama is now available to stream for free in the UK and fans are already obsessed. Channel 4 has subtly released an adaptation of Liz Moore's top-selling crime thriller, Long Bright River. Viewers are already loving the drama-filled show, which is fully available on the channel's streaming platform and is scheduled to broadcast in late May. Actress Amanda Seyfried, who is best known for her roles in Mean Girls, Veronica Mars, Dear John and Mamma Mia! movies, is taking the lead role in the series. The eight-part miniseries will see Amanda's character Mickey Fitzpatrick, a complex police officer torn between her job and her troubled family life, particularly her sister Kacey's addiction struggles. When a string of murders rocks Philadelphia, Mickey becomes fixated on uncovering the truth, especially as the killer seems to be targeting people like her sister. The show, released on Peacock in the UK earlier this year, has already generated social media buzz among fans and they have wasted no time sharing their reaction. One viewer commented: "#LongBrightRiver may not be as polished and impeccably paced as its closest comp, Mare of Easttown. "But it is still a compelling, well-made miniseries with a stellar star turn from Amanda Seyfried who deserves serious Emmy consideration. The finale wrecked me." Another fan praised: "'#LongBrightRiver is fantastic so far (3 episodes in) and obvs Amanda Seyfried is great in it but the child actor Callum Vinson who plays her son Thomas might need to get some major recognition come next awards season!" A third person raved: "I'm on episode 4 and i just wanna say u all have to watch this. It is SO GOOD and our girl is AMAZINGGG #LongBrightRiver." Discussing her personal connection to the show, Amanda revealed to Variety: "The characters in this story are struggling with the opioid crisis, and maybe I connect in a deeper way to this character's journey because of my relationship to a lot of the subject matter. 'What I didn't expect is to feel like this experience grounded me as well. It lit a fire within me. " She further added: "I wasn't looking for something grounded and heavy and dark, but it was therapeutic in a way. "The storytelling, the perspective was so unique, and it knew exactly what it was. It felt like if this knows exactly what it is, then maybe I will find something new within my own journey." Polly Scates, who is Head of Acquisitions at Channel 4 added: 'We were immediately hooked by this propulsive thriller and Amanda Seyfried's scene stealing performance as Mickey. "We're thrilled that Channel 4 will be the home of Long Bright River in the UK and to bring this compelling series to our viewers across both streaming and linear.'

This year sees them up for the likes of best independent rock album or EP, independent album of the year, and independent marketing team of the year. Royel Otis will be in fine company, sharing the former two categories with both Amyl and the Sniffers and King Stingray. Amyl, meanwhile, are also up for independent song of the year for 'U Should Not Be Doing That,' which recently took out song of the year at the APRA Music Awards last month. Other well-represented artists at this year's ceremony are Emily Wurramara, Confidence Man and Alice Ivy, who are up for four awards each, with the latter pair in contention for best independent dance, electronica or club single and Best Independent Dance or Electronica Album or EP. Acts such as Indigenous hip-hop supergroup 3%, Gut Health, and others are also hoping to take home multiples at the event. 'It's a wonderful opportunity to recognise the work the independent music industry does in providing talented and emerging artists and music businesses with a platform to share their art with a wider audience,' commented South Australian minister for arts, Andrea Michaels MP. Officially known as the Australian Independent Record Awards, the awards were first established in 2006 as an effort to 'recognise, promote, and celebrate the success of Australia's Independent Music sector.' This year also features a new category, with independent mix, studio or mastering engineer of the year set to be handed out at the July ceremony for the first time. Some of Australia's biggest musical exports have been recognized by the AIRs in recent years, including RVG, who took home last year's best independent album for Brain Worms, and Jem Cassar-Daley, whose 'King of Disappointment' was named best independent single/EP. Turnstile Play First Show of 2025 at Free Baltimore Benefit Concert
Turnstile returned to their hometown of Baltimore over the weekend with a powerful purpose. The Grammy-nominated hardcore band staged a free benefit concert on Saturday (May 10) at Wyman Park Dell, drawing thousands of fans and raising over $35,000 for charity. The event marked the band's first live performance in nearly a year and served as a high-energy preview of their upcoming album Never Enough, out June 6 via Roadrunner Records, which includes recently released singles 'SEEIN' STARS' and 'BIRDS'. More from Billboard Twenty One Pilots Fans Jumped Into Veronica Mars Mode After Someone Took Off With One of Josh Dun's Bespoke Drums Palm Tree Festival to Debut in St. Tropez With Headliners A$AP Rocky & Swedish House Mafia Kelly Clarkson Doesn't Care What HR Says, She's Totally Open to Comments on Her Weight Loss: 'I Want You to Say 'Damn!' Fans traveled across the country to attend the 16-acre event, which featured moshing, crowd-surfing and sing-alongs. QR codes throughout the park allowed fans to donate to Health Care for the Homeless, which offers medical, dental, therapy and addiction support services to Baltimore's most vulnerable populations. Kevin Feldt, senior director of institutional advancement at the organization, told the Baltimore Banner that the event gave them 'the opportunity to share our mission with thousands.' The band financed the show entirely on their own, with help from Unregistered Nurse Booking founder Dana Murphy and a team of more than 60 people. Turnstile will play a record release show June 5 in Brooklyn, N.Y., before going on a more extensive tour including festival stops at Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, Ottawa Blues and III Points, among others. The event follows the announcement last month of the band's new album — its first in four years following the highly acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Glow On — and the release of the Never Enough title track. While Mike Elizondo (Linkin Park, Fiona Apple, Eminem) produced the last record, frontman Brendan Yates takes the production reins on the new album, which was recorded between the band's hometown of Baltimore and Los Angeles. Billboard named Turnstile's Glow On one of the best albums of 2021, placing it at No. 27 on the list. The record also debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 30. Kneecap's First Live Show Since Coachella Set to Go Ahead at London Festival
Irish hip hop act Kneecap will still be headlining Wide Awake Festival 2025 as planned, the festival has announced. It will mark the band's first show since they performed at Coachella last month. The news arrives following a period of intense scrutiny on the West Belfast trio in the weeks after Coachella. At the end of their sets, Kneecap displayed messages on the war in Gaza, writing: 'Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It is being enabled by the U.S. government who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes. F–k Israel; free Palestine.' More from Billboard Twenty One Pilots Fans Jumped Into Veronica Mars Mode After Someone Took Off With One of Josh Dun's Bespoke Drums Palm Tree Festival to Debut in St. Tropez With Headliners A$AP Rocky & Swedish House Mafia Kelly Clarkson Doesn't Care What HR Says, She's Totally Open to Comments on Her Weight Loss: 'I Want You to Say 'Damn!' The group went on to face criticism from a number of industry figures including Sharon Osbourne, who called for their U.S. visas to be retracted. A group of politicians, meanwhile, called for Kneecap to be removed from a series of U.K. festival line-ups this summer. Scrutiny continued when counter-terror police in London announced (May 1) an investigation into videos of band members allegedly calling for the death of elected British MPs and shouting 'up Hamas, up Hezbollah.' The group have since gone on to issue a statement to their Instagram account: 'Let us be unequivocal: we do not, and have never, supported Hamas or Hezbollah. We condemn all attacks on civilians, always. It is never okay,' it read in part. Consequently, German headline shows in Hamburg, Cologne and Berlin for this summer have been pulled, alongside previously-announced appearances at Hurricane and Southside Festivals. A night at the Eden Project, Cornwall, was also cancelled last month but has since been replaced with three new dates in the nearby city of Plymouth, south west England. Wide Awake have now shared a statement across their social media platforms confirming Kneecap's headline performance is still slated to go ahead next week (May 23). 'After positive discussions with key stakeholders, Wide Awake Festival can confirm that, as planned, Kneecap will be performing at this year's festival on Friday May 23 at Brockwell Park,' it began. 'Wide Awake has a proud history of supporting the alternative music scene, and we look forward to staging another unforgettable event showcasing the very best emerging and established talent.' The post also featured a lengthy signatory list of artists sharing their support for Kneecap and the 'freedom of expression,' featuring names such as Pulp, Fontaines D.C., Primal Scream, Massive Attack, Self Esteem and Amyl and The Sniffers, among others. Other acts set to perform at Wide Awake, which takes place in Brockwell Park, south London, include English Teacher, CMAT, Peaches, Fat Dog and more. Tickets and the full line-up can be found on the event's official website.
