Goldendoodle Has 'Arch Enemy' Cousin Over To Stay, Hysterics Over Response

A goldendoodle from Florida has become an internet sensation after a video of him reaction to an unexpected guest staying over for the night went viral on TikTok. The hilarious clip, shared in June under the username @loganmakenzee, shows the dog sitting stiffly upright in his doggy armchair, eyes locked on the front door where his cousin is standing up staring at him. "When your arch enemy of a cousin comes to stay the night" reads layover text on the clip. The caption says: "It's giving bratty sister vibes." If you suspect that your dog dislikes a particular canine, you might be right. Experts at VetStreet say that, just like we sometimes can't stand other people, dogs can also feel the same way about other pups. But how do dogs decide who they like and who they don't? It is mostly in the smell. With a nose that can smell up to 100,000 times better than humans', canines can pick up all sorts of olfactory clues that signal something they either like or dislike. And the other dog doesn't even need to be close for your pup to make this decision, because they can do it from a long distance, too. Another reason your dog may not like another specific canine is because of past experiences, with either the pup in question or a very similar pup. In fact, dogs that smell, look, or move in a similar way can all be a trigger. And, last but not least, your pup may just be hyper-protective of you. Maybe your dog doesn't just hate all other pups; it just doesn't want you to be near any of them. Stock image: Two poodles are about to start a fight in the yard. One user, Apg8113, commented: "I can't explain it but they both look so human it's weird." Ty posted: "She refuses to leave her throne until her court date. She's suing her parents for upholstering the chair with her fur." Caroline added: "The little one looks like the annoying little villain cousin if this were a cartoon." Woman Thinks She's Filming Dog Training, Then Sees What's in the Background

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A pet parent focused on training her dog received backlash from TikTok users after they spotted a heartbreaking moment in the background. TikTok user @seveb_06 started filming a video of her training her golden retriever. She focused solely on the pup, which is critical when dog training. Not only do owners need to keep their dogs focused during training, but they should also give them their full attention by removing distractions such as TVs and phones, an article from VetStreet says. By being fully present, owners can strengthen the bond with their dogs. However, her Jack Russell terrier didn't understand why she wasn't getting the same attention. The small dog only spotted the pup getting all of the owner's focus, plus treats, which didn't sit right with her. Not wanting to be left out, she walked toward the owner to show she also knew tricks in the May 4 video posted to the account @seveb_06. She stood behind the owner, lifting her paw, hopeful she would be noticed and receive a reward. The dog moved to the other side when the owner did not glance her way. She again performed her tricks but received the same outcome: no attention. Desperate for love, the dog even put her paws on the owner's leg. Her eyes filled with sadness after being ignored. When the owner rewatched the footage, she felt horrible for ignoring her fur baby. The video caption confirmed she made it up to her dog by giving her treats. Newsweek reached out to @seveb_06 via TikTok for additional information. TikTok users immediately flooded the comment section of the video, which amassed more than 528,200 views, with tears about how she had ignored her dog. "Ik she was training, but she could've paid attention to the other dog too," one person wrote. Another asked: "Why are you ignoring her? This literally made me sob." A third demanded: "Please make a video trying all of her tricks for us so she feels special." The owner replied to the negative feedback: "Guys, the only reason I didn't PAY ATTENTION in the moment was bc the golden retriever is still a puppy and needs to be trained. I've had my Jack Russell for years and they are both treated the same!!"
