The Young and the Restless spoilers: Damian fired and Holden gets intriguing new job

When The Young and the Restless' Damian (Jermaine Rivers) and Holden (Nathan Owens) arrived in Genoa City, it seemed as if the two were a packaged deal. After they dropped the charade of Holden pretending to be Damian, it was revealed that Damian was a CEO working for Aristotle Dumas, and Holden was Damian's right-hand man. Additionally, Damian and Holden were best friends. Fast forward to the present, and the dynamic between the duo has become rather complex. Damian has slowly been trying to repair a relationship with his mother, while getting to know Nate (Sean Dominic) as his brother and trying to earn some trust with Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James). Holden, on the other hand, has more or less felt like an outsider in Genoa City, with no one willing to give him the benefit of the doubt outside of Claire (Hayley Erin). Although he has a romantic history with Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and would like to at least be her friend, she's been rather prickly and dismissive of him. Despite Holden's borderline pariah status, he's remained in town, knowing he's at least working as Damian's number two for Aristotle. Sadly, in The Young and the Restless episode airing on June 2, Damian gets the news from Aristotle's assistant that he's been fired ahead of Aristotle's secret French bash. While Damin doesn't seem terribly bothered by the news since he just accepted a job offer at Winters, he is concerned about what this now means for Holden. Even though Lily got Damian a job at Winters, she hasn't extended that same courtesy to Holden, so it looks like he'll be unemployed. But loyal to his friend, Damian tries to get Holden a new role at a new company in Genoa City. After sharing the firing news with Lily, Audra and Nate, Damian gets the idea to pitch Holden to Audra. Damian surmises that Holden could be a great employee for Audra at her new business, Vibrante. Of course, Audra gets a bit cagey about the idea. She even makes excuses why Holden won't be a good fit. However, Damian counters that Holden is a great employee. With all that being said, we have a feeling that Holden has no intention of returning to LA, at least not in the foreseeable future. The suave and vesper-drinking newcomer probably plans to stick around in Genoa City, but he will need a new job. If we had to guess, he'll land at one of three companies. First, we can't rule out the possibility that Audra will reluctantly offer Holden a position at Vibrante. While she obviously has some residual feelings for him and rather not work so closely together, we think she'll come to realize that if she pushes too hard against the idea, Lily and Nate may grow to suspect she doesn't want to partner with him because they still share a romantic connection she's trying to deny. So, rather than give Lily more ammunition not to trust her, Audra will bite the bullet and hire Holden. If Holden doesn't wind up at Vibrante, our next best guess is Newman Enterprises. Holden may not know a ton about Aristotle, but he's worked at Aristotle's companies. Therefore, Victor (Eric Braeden) may see Holden as an asset in this bubbling war with the mystery tycoon. Plus, with a glowing recommendation from Claire, Victor may be willing to give Holden a trial run. It should also be noted that we've always gotten the vibe that Holden is willing to play in those grey areas, and with Michael (Christian LeBlanc) no longer working for The Mustache, he may be able to use Holden's unique abilities. Now, if Holden doesn't find a home at Vibrante or Newman Enterprises, then perhaps Holden will take his talents to Chancellor with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). It bears repeating that Nikki could truly use some more assistance in the executive suite at the huge corporation. Yes, she has Claire working for her, but a company this size likely needs some more executive experience, especially with Aristotle lurking about to take the business. Again, Claire could put in a good word for Holden with her grandmother. Wherever Holden ends up, we can't wait to see his next act. He's new on the CBS soap, but he's intriguing to watch. New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Episodes become available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day.

The Young and the Restless spoilers: Holden tips the scales in the Audra and Kyle feud?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Although The Young and the Restless' Holden (Nathan Owens) may not be the most popular new kid on the block, we tend to appreciate his charming allure and his knack for getting a rise out of Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Lily (Christel Khalil). Honing in on his dynamic with Audra, it doesn't exactly take a PhD to see that Holden still has feelings for her, and she reluctantly still has a thing for him, despite her objections to the contrary and her relationship with Nate (Sean Dominic). Whatever the extent of their relationship was in LA, Audra and Holden clearly had a deep connection back then, and he aided her out of her 'LA trouble' because he likely loved her. And yet in the present, Audra continues to treat him with animosity whenever they bump into each other in Genoa City. Fast forward to The Young and the Restless episode airing on May 20, and Audra again spots Holden out and about town, this time chatting it up with Kyle (Michael Mealor) at Society. She's not pleased to see her exes talking over Vespers and rushes over to interrupt their conversation, thinking she's the topic being discussed. Funny enough, though, she becomes the topic after butting in. Holden reveals to Kyle that he knew Audra back in LA and they were 'pretty close for a while.' Kyle reveals to Holden that he worked with Audra for a short while at a failed cosmetic company. Additionally, Kyle delivers the news that Audra is starting the new cosmetic business, Vibrante. After all the information is exchanged, Kyle leaves with his takeout order, smiling because he knows new information about Audra. Alone with Audra, Holden astutely points out that her falling out with Kyle is about more than professional. She, of course, notes that her past with Kyle is none of Holden's business, and he responds by asserting he knows he sees sparks still flying between her and Kyle. With all that being said, we have a hunch that Holden will soon insert himself in this covert war between Audra and Kyle. Holden has taken an interest in the duo's dynamic, and he's not above manipulation, proven by his identity swap con with Damian (Jermaine Rivers). If we're correct, then we have to question whose side Holden may take. Our first inclination is to say Holden would back Audra. He has history with her and still loves her. However, Audra's harsh tone with him lately and her repeatedly telling him they aren't friends and to but out of her life, probably doesn't put him in a mood to aid her in anything. But if she were really savvy, she'd see Holden as an asset in breaking up Kyle and Claire (Hayley Erin), as she'd try to exploit Holden's newfound friendship with Claire to possibly lure the Newman heiress away, while Audra goes after Kyle. Even if Audra were to think of this approach, she'd have to butter Holden up and offer him something big for his help, something like a job at Vibrante. Now it's just as easy to picture Kyle enticing Holden to come work for him against Audra. Kyle could reiterate to Holden that Audra clearly broke his heart and used him, so Holden doesn't owe any loyalty to her. Kyle could also offer him a lucrative position at Jabot for his help. For now, we just have predictions about Holden being a wildcard for Kyle and Audra, but it makes sense to us, especially if a job is being teased. Not for nothing, we have a feeling Damian will soon be out with Aristotle Dumas, so Holden could be in need of a new career if Aristotle doesn't see fit to replace Damian with Holden. The Young and the Restless spoilers: Kyle and Audra's drunken night together?

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Watching The Young and the Restless' Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) on screen lately is like watching a corporate game of Chicken between exes. They've each vowed to take down the other and are on a collision course until one of them blinks first, realizing they have too much to lose to get entangled in a vendetta. Sadly, it's starting to appear neither one of them will blink until it's too late. In The Young and the Restless episode airing on May 15, Kyle and Audra run into each other at Crimson Lights, and they, of course, mix words. She brags about her company, Vibrante, and her new revolutionary product. He suspects she's lying to get under his skin, but she doubles down that she indeed has something that will make a splash in the cosmetic world. As the two continue sharing their usual contentious banter, Holden (Nathan Owens) nearby takes it all in. After Kyle and Audra go their separate ways, Audra runs into Holden. He confronts her about her interaction with Kyle, correctly guessing they were once involved. Holden further makes a quip about the likelihood that Nate (Sean Dominic) probably wouldn't have been pleased to see her recent interaction with Kyle. Audra dismisses Holden's concerns, and he replies by making flirtatious advances. She becomes adamant that she has no desire to rekindle anything romantic with Holden, and she pushes him to stay away from her. Over with Kyle, he meets up with his Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) and tells his parents about running into Audra. He's insistent that he needs to get to the bottom of Audra's claims about a revolutionary product. Jack and Diane wisely advise Kyle not to let Audra get into his head and to drop his quest. Diane, in particular, warns him that this could put further strain on his relationship with Claire (Hayley Erin), which already is taking hits because of Victor (Eric Braeden). But Kyle just can't let it go. Later, with Claire, Kyle tells his girlfriend that he wants to investigate Audra and claims he has to get close to Audra to do that. He assures Claire that he won't do anything inappropriate or too devious, but that doesn't stop Claire from having her concerns. Having said all of that, we can't help but be concerned about the future of #Kylaire. With Kyle planning to get close to Audra to spy, and Audra already on a mission from Victor to break up Kyle and Claire, it's not looking good for the duo. We can imagine a scenario in which Kyle and Audra trade barbs over cocktails one evening at the Athletic Club. As the two continue going back and forth, their disdainful exchange turns into flirtatious banter, and under the influence of alcohol, they have a night to remember, getting a room at the Athletic Club. To add a soapy twist to this scenario, let's say on their way upstairs together, someone like Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) or Holden witnesses the interaction. Both Phyllis and Holden would likely use the information at some point to greatly benefit them, which would leave Kyle and Audra squirming, as neither one would want Nate or Claire to know about their cheating scandal. For now, this is all just a hunch we have about Audra and Kyle landing in bed with each other again. But the two seem to enjoy playing with fire and playing each other, so it seems like a logical step. New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS.
