MANCHESTER UNITED are set to undergo huge change during the summer transfer window. SunSport can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that three Premier League clubs are battling to sign Jadon Sancho. Meanwhile, United Viktor Gyokeres has told Sporting that he'll never play for the club again and is ready to go on strike as he looks to force a move, according to reports. Plus, we have the latest on United's pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo. Today, 07:00 By Ian Tuckey 'Blackmail and insults won't work' Sporting's president has furiously hit back at Manchester United target Victor Gyokeres saying: 'Threats and blackmail don't work,' writes MARTIN BLACKBURN. The Sweden striker is considering going on strike to force through a dream move to United or Arsenal. Gyokeres, 27, is furious with Sporting for going back on their word over a transfer promise to him and plans not to play for the club again. He believes he had a gentleman's agreement to leave the Portuguese giants for £50million with a further £8million in add-ons but that claim has been rubbished by president Frederico Varandas. And the Sporting chief insists he will not be bullied into letting the ex-Coventry forward move to the Prem on the cheap this summer. Varandas said: ' Sporting will not accept blackmail and insults – you should know me better by now. 'One thing is certain, we will not accept £50m plus £8m. As of now, Sporting has not received any bids for Gyokeres. 'He is a fantastic professional, to this day he has had zero offers. He has a three-year contract with Sporting.' Today, 05:00 By Ian Tuckey Ex-United winger linked to big rivals Arsenal are tipped to show serious interest in ex-Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga. The £60million-rated Swede was outstanding for Nottingham Forest this season. The 23-year-old notched six goals and 11 assists as a Premier League ever-present, helping Nuno Espirito Santo's men finish seventh. TBR Football claim Arsenal are just one of the Prem rivals keen on the pacy attacker. Today, 03:00 By Ian Tuckey Gomes set for Mason reunion Marseille say ex-Manchester United midfielder Angel Gomes has agreed a deal in principle to join them. The four-cap Englishman, 24, has been a big success with Lille. But he's certain to leave on a free transfer in the summer. And he appears certain for a reunion with ex-Red Devils striker Mason Greenwood at Lille's French rivals Marseille. Sky Sports believe Gomes will sign a three-year deal. Today, 01:00 By Ian Tuckey Villa, Spurs and Toon keen on Jadon EXCLUSIVE: Three Premier League clubs are battling to sign Jadon Sancho, SunSport can reveal, writes HENRY TOMLINSON. The former Borussia Dortmund winger is back at Manchester United after Chelsea rejected the chance to make his move permanent. Manager Ruben Amorim has no plans to integrate Sancho back into his first team – meaning the 25-year-old is searching for a fresh start. And SunSport understands Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle are all monitoring developments. Villa are thought to be keen on a loan deal for the player, but United would prefer cash to free up funds for a rebuild. Newcastle and Tottenham both see Sancho as a strong option as they look to build squads that can compete in the League and the Champions League. Borussia Dortmund were also tracking Sancho, but they've now opted for Jobe Bellingham. Despite netting in the 4-1 Europa Conference League final win over Real Betis, Sancho couldn't seal a £25million switch to Chelsea. Chelsea had initially loaned Sancho from United and had agreed to buy him for £25million, unless they dropped below 14th or coughed up a £5m penalty clause. 11th Jun 2025, 22:57 By Ian Tuckey Broadcasting boost for Prem clubs Premier League chiefs have axed a little-known broadcasting rule ahead of next season, writes ALEX SMITH. There have been restrictions in place to stop youth-team matches being shown at the same time as senior top-flight games. But that blackout has reportedly been lifted for the 2025/26 campaign. Under-21 games in the Premier League 2 can now be live streamed even if they clash with fixtures on Sky Sports or TNT Sports. Official club channels are ready to "take the lead" in showing the action. But there are rumours of a TV deal in the coming years should viewing figures be significant. The rule change is a major boost for football fans up and down the country - especially Manchester United supporters. Viewers have long complained about MUTV not showing enough youth-team fixtures live. Just 14 of 35 Under-21 games were shown last season and just eight of those were Premier League 2 clashes. 11th Jun 2025, 22:35 By Ian Tuckey Rashford hits back at online critic Marcus Rashford appeared more than frustrated when a fan responded negatively to an upbeat message from the star on Instagram. The Manchester United striker's future is unclear after his successful loan with Aston Villa. But there have been tentative links with Barcelona - rated his dream destination. Rashford posted a video of himself going through a training routine. He added the words: "Feeling better again" - along with a grinning emoji. But when the clip was re-posted, one social media user responded: "Every pre-season he does these photo shoots but then goes to see boxing matches half way round the world days before important matches! "Makes no sense if you are feeling good one month before the season starts." The fan didn't back up his suggestion But Rashford replied online: "I'm feeling good because I'm now injury free pal." 11th Jun 2025, 21:40 By Ian Tuckey Gunners linked to '£60m Elanga' Arsenal are tipped to step up interest in ex-Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga. The Manchester United striker has endured a nightmare campaign, scoring just four goals in 32 Premier League games. Hojlund was dropped to the bench as Denmark beat Lithuania 5-0 in a friendly yesterday. Mika Biereth replaced him up front and put in a fantastic performance, scoring the opener and then drawing a red card after being fouled by Edgaras Utkus. Danish media outlet Bold claim the Monaco star was "venomous" when it mattered and he has now jumped above Hojlund in the pecking order. They wrote: "Hojlund must be shaking his pants by now. He has been overtaken." Biereth's strike partner last night was Kasper Dolberg, who also got his name on the scoresheet. Hojlund came on as a 72nd minute substitute but did not make an impact. It comes after he also struggled in the previous game, playing 66 minutes before being hooked off for Biereth in the 2-1 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday. 11th Jun 2025, 19:17 By Ian Tuckey 'Arsenal & Utd target' set to join Brighton Greek wonderkid Babis Kostoulas is undergoing a Brighton medical. SunSport's KOSTAS LIANOS says: "Final deal between #BHAFC and Olympiacos is €35m (£29.7m) with €2m (£1.7m) in add-ons. "Kostoulas will sign five-year deal and will soon join Fabian Hurzeler's team for pre-season." The striker, 18, was eyed by Arsenal and Manchester United. He's already been already been compared to Argentine legend Gabriel Batistuta. 11th Jun 2025, 18:42 By Ian Tuckey Dortmund play down Sancho reunion talk Jadon Sancho's transfer saga deepened tonight. The Manchester United winger, 25, has been on loan at Chelsea. But Sancho and the Blues failed to agree terms over a permanent deal. Now the 23-cap Englishman's former club Borussia Dortmund have dampened talk of a reunion. Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl said: "Of course, contact with Jadon is always there, in some way, because we have a very long history. "We have other priorities at the moment, and therefore the Sancho issue may have been played more in the media than discussed internally." 11th Jun 2025, 17:50 By Ian Tuckey Open and shut case for transfers This unusual two-part summer transfer window has seen its first half come to an end. The reason this year's summer market is different is the revamped Club World Cup, which will begin this coming Sunday. To accommodate clubs wanting to sign players ahead of the controversial tournament, the transfer window opened early on June 1. But due to FIFA's rules stipulating the transfer windows in a calendar year when combined cannot be greater than 16 weeks, a break had to be inserted – therefore the first window closed tonight at 7pm BST. The initial 10-day period applied only to the 20 national associations with teams playing in the Club World Cup to allow them to register players for the group stages of the competition. That includes England, with Manchester City and Chelsea set to compete in the tournament. The summer transfer window reopens on June 16 and will remain open until September 1. Teams participating in the Club World Cup who sign players from this date can register them for the knockout stages of the competition. 11th Jun 2025, 17:45 By Ian Tuckey Mini window shuts tonight The mini transfer window will slam shut this evening at 7pm. But it will reopen before the start of the Premier League season. Clubs will be able to be active again from June 16. It will then shut again for the summer on September 1. 11th Jun 2025, 17:40 By Ian Tuckey Top Arsenal and Man Utd target 'wants transfer' Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly made it clear he wants to leave Sporting Lisbon. The in-demand striker believes it id the right time to move on and make the next step. The claims have come from Portuguese outlet A Bola, which revealed he had better proposals last summer before choosing to stay. The Swede is heavily linked with Manchester United but Arsenal have also been tipped with an interest. The Gunners could move for the striker should they miss out on Benjamin Sesko. 11th Jun 2025, 17:33 By Ian Tuckey You won't get a Devil of a bargain Man Utd are ready to stay 'resolute' when it comes to the valuations of players they expect to leave this summer. The Red Devils are set to shift on a number of big name players with raising funds one objective for the board in the coming weeks and months. According to Ben Jacobs, United are willing to sell Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford and Antony to bring in some cash. But the Old Trafford top brass want to ensure they are getting the right fee for each player and won't sell just for the sake of getting the stars off the books. 11th Jun 2025, 17:01 By Ian Tuckey Red Devils 'enter talks' over giant keeper Manchester United have been lined with serious interest in a 6ft 6ins keeper also wanted by AC Milan and Galatasaray. GIVEMESPORT claim the Red Devils have "entered talks" with Nice star Marcin Bulka's representatives. It's reckoned the Pole, 25, could be available for a bargain fee as he starts the final 12 months of his contract. Old Trafford chief Ruben Amorim is reportedly still weighing up whether Andre Onana should remain his first-choice stopper next season. By Ian Tuckey Saudis join hunt for Prem target Sesko Arsenal's status as favourites to land reported Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko is wobbling. Al-Hilal are reportedly joining the hunt for RB Leipzig's goal machine. The Saudi big-spenders had a £63millin-plus bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen rebuffed. And now Al-Hilal have reportedly turned to Sesko. The Slovenian 22-year-old has also been mentioned in connection with United - although Old Trafford chief Ruben Amorim has other options. But it's understood the Gunners have been in pole position for several weeks. Arsenal are said to have held talks with Leipzig over their star man. But competition to sign Sesko just got a lot tougher. 11th Jun 2025, 16:00 By Joshua Hall United swoop for academy star Man Utd have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Southampton academy star Harley Emsden-James, 16. Youth football insider Academy Scoop claims that United have agreed to sign the highly-rated centre-back from Saints. It's said that Emsden-James was convinced by United's long-term project proposal and an eventual pathway to the first team. The defender has represented England at youth level and is thought to be ready to compete for United's U18s on his arrival at Carrington. 11th Jun 2025, 15:30 By Joshua Hall 11th Jun 2025, 15:00 By Joshua Hall Evans in no rush Free agent Jonny Evans, who has been released by Man Utd, has revealed that he is biding his time this summer to mull over his next move. Evans, 37, isn't certain what his next step will be after a return to United in 2023. I'm not sure yet. I'll take a bit of time. I don't feel like I'm in a rush to do anything. Jonny EvansBBC Sport 11th Jun 2025, 14:30 By Joshua Hall Osimhen 'dreaming' of Prem Manchester United linked Victor Osimhen is reportedly "dreaming" of a move to the Premier League. Nigerian Osimhen spent last season on loan with Galatasaray after trying to force a move away from parent club Napoli. Now Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Osimhen has rejected a move to Al-Hilal with his sights set on the English top flight. It's understood that Napoli are hoping for a fee in excess of £60m for the 26-year-old. 11th Jun 2025, 14:00 By Joshua Hall Ek of a player Manchester United are looking at Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike as an option this summer, according to GIVEMESPORT. They claim that the Red Devils have earmarked the French 22-year-old as a potential alternative to Viktor Gyokeres. It's thought that both Liverpool and Chelsea have been keeping a keen eye on Ekitike too. Frankfurt would hold for a fee of around £84m for the star, who scored 15 goals and registered eight assists in the Bundesliga this season. 11th Jun 2025, 13:30 By Joshua Hall More from Sporting president Sporting CP president Federico Varandas is adamant that the Portuguese club won't be accepting rumoured offers of £60m for Viktor Gyokeres. Gyokeres scored 63 goals and 10 assists. Fantastic performance. Certainly one of the best players to have ever stepped onto Portuguese turf. And Sporting will not demand the clause. Now blackmail and insults, Sporting will not accept. One thing is certain: Sporting will not accept €60 million plus €10 million. As of today, Sporting has not received any proposal for Gyokeres. ‘Threats and blackmail don't work' – Sporting chief hits back at Man Utd target Gyokeres and reveals fee he won't accept
SPORTING'S president has furiously hit back at Manchester United target Victor Gyokeres saying: "Threats and blackmail don't work." The Sweden striker is considering going on strike to force through a dream move to United or Arsenal. 3 Gyokeres, 27, is furious with Sporting for going back on their word over a transfer promise to him and plans not to play for the club again. "He is a fantastic professional, to this day he has had zero offers. He has a three-year contract with Sporting.' Responding to claims they have changed their stance, Varandas gave his version of the meetings they had last summer. He says the only guarantee he gave to the forward was that he would not ask for the full £85m of his release clause. JOIN SUN VEGAS: GET £50 BONUS He said: "It was agreed that Sporting would not demand the release clause at the end of the season, especially because he was going to be 27. "We knew about Viktor's dream of going to a club where he could fight for the Champions League and we have common sense. "We guaranteed that we would not demand £85m. Sporting has common sense, it keeps its word. "The president of Sporting said that the club would not demand the clause and that we would adjust the value to Viktor's performance. 'But he was one of the best players ever to step on the pitch in Portugal with 63 goals and ten assists. Now I see the agent is releasing information to the press.' United boss Ruben Amorim has made Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo his top priority after signing Matheus Cunha earlier in the window. 3 But he worked with Gyokeres at Sporting and could yet firm up the interest if the Red Devils can shift some of their existing forwards this summer. United legend Rio Ferdinand is not convinced by the striker and said: "I don't think he's the guy. I've not watched him loads but I've watched him probably three times really, really closely. "And three times I've gone, 'He ain't getting that opportunity in the Prem'. "When I see him physically matched, what else is there? Is there enough - after he's physically matched - to get him a goal?' Arsenal remain in the frame for him too with new director of football Andrea Berta a big fan from his days at Atletico Madrid. The Gunners are working on a deal for RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko but are currently unwilling to meet the German club's asking price. Should that move reach a stalemate, they could go back for Gyokeres if they felt he gave better value for money and could make more of an instant impact. However Sporting are not willing to let their prized asset go without a fight.

Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Barcelona in Partey talks EXCLUSIVE, £67.4m Sesko LATEST, Napoli in Gyokeres battle
ARSENAL are looking ahead to a busy summer transfer window after another trophyless season. SunSport can exclusively reveal that Barcelona are in talks with Thomas Partey over a potential free transfer to Spain this summer. Meanwhile, Arsenal have begun discussions with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, who has a £67.4m release clause. Elsewhere, the Gunners are battling with Napoli for £67m-rated Sporting superstar Viktor Gyokeres. 40 minutes ago By Craig Mahood Full summer plan Sky Sports have published a 'full summer plan' of Arsenal's for the transfer window. They say it begins with Martin Zubimendi coming into the midfield before a 'top striker' - potentially Benjamin Sesko or Viktor Gyokeres - joins. A left winger is another priority, with Nico Williams and Leroy Sane quoted. A backup goalkeeper will follow, with any further incomings being determined by outgoings. Today, 20:15 By Craig Mahood Coast clearer Juventus were the European frontrunners to sign Victor Osimhen this summer. The striker has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs including Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and sides in Italy. The bookmakers make a Saudi switch the favourite destination for Osimhen this summer. But Juve - who were the shortest priced European side - are not in for the Nigerian, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Today, 19:35 By Craig Mahood Joan boost? Arsenal, Man Utd and Newcastle have been given renewed hope of landing Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia. A number of top clubs have been linked with the stopper, who was a standout and big reason why his club JUST kept their La Liga status. But it looked like Barcelona were in pole position for his signature. However current Barca stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen says he's NOT leaving the Camp Nou this summer. He said: "Nobody has spoken to me. "I know I'll be in Barcelona next year. Barca is one of the biggest clubs, and competition is normal. "For me, the situation isn't changing. I'm extremely excited about next season with a team that's very young, dynamic, and hungry." Today, 18:54 By Craig Mahood Ricely done Declan Rice was the only Arsenal representative in Uefa's Champions League Team of the Year. The midfielder's two free kicks against Real Madrid remain a highlight of the entire competition. Yet NEITHER won the goal of the competition. And despite Mikel Arteta's claims that they were the best side in Europe this season, only Rice finds his way into the team. Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Donnarumma (Paris Saint-Gernain) Defenders: Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Gernain), Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain), Alessandro Bastoni (FC Internazionale Milano), Nuno Mendes (Paris Saint-Germain) Midfielders: Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain), Declan Rice (Arsenal FC) Forwards: Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), Désiré Doué (Paris Saint-Germain), Ousmane Dembélé (Paris Saint-Germain), Raphinha (FC Barcelona) Today, 18:10 By Craig Mahood Right formula Bukayo Saka and Myles Lewis-Skelly have been spotted mixing it with the stars at the Spanish Grand Prix. The pair - flanked by their England teammates including Jude Bellingham and Ollie Watkins - were spotted looking relaxed walking on the F1 grid. The vast majority of the 26-man squad have not been to the F1 before, and after the race, they will head to nearby Girona for a training camp. Saka was approached for a TV interview but opted against it. Today, 17:30 By Rahman Osman Partey's time? EXCLUSIVE SunSport understands Thomas Partey would ideally like to stay in north London having built a strong relationship with Mikel Arteta, though Barcelona are circling and are poised to make a move for him. Partey also recently welcomed a new baby and with his family settled in London, he would love the continuity. However, he is looking for a deal that doesn't require him to take a significant pay cut- aware that this could be his final major contract. He turns 32 this month and is seeking a deal that reflects his status as one of the club's most important players. Beyond Barcelona, Partey has also attracted interest from Saudi clubs- but it's the Catalan giants who have made the first serious move and are keeping the pressure on. One source close to the player told SunSport: 'Thomas respects Arsenal massively and loves living in London, but he also knows his worth and wants a deal that reflects his standing at the club.' Today, 16:49 By Craig Mahood Joao or never More on our exclusive story now as we look back to Brighton's decision to leave Joao Pedro out of the matchday squad for the last two games of the season. We told you earlier that the Seagulls have slapped a whopping £70million price tag on striker Joao Pedro. Pedro hadn't lined up for Brighton since April 19 having served a suspension for a red card against Brentford and was left out the squad after a training ground bust-up. On Pedro's future - having been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer - boss Fabian Hurzeler said: "With Joao, we had a small issue in training, a type which isn't uncommon from time to time at all football clubs. 'We dealt with it internally and the matter is closed. 'Joao is an incredible football player, he is a match-winner for us and he is a great player and that's why we invested in him. 'But there are principles, there are values that are non-negotiable that count for everyone. I don't make any compromises. 'I am sure that Joao is still a young player, there is still a lot of potential where he will grow." Today, 16:05 By Craig Mahood Longest drought Arsenal have played the most games in Europe's premier competition without winning it. The latest figures come after PSG - who were previously fourth in the list - ended their wait for European glory last night. Their win came after 167 games in the European Cup/Champions League before finally getting their hands on it. Just fewer than them was Anderlecht on 165, with Atletico Madrid (175) and Dynamo Kyiv (185) third and second. But way out in front are the Gunners with 211 games across the competitions without winning it. Today, 15:20 By Craig Mahood Look elsewhere? Arsenal are now no longer favourites to sign Viktor Gyokeres. Up until midweek, the Gunners were the clear favourites with the bookmakers to sign the Sporting striking sensation. But those odds have completely flipped and from 11/10 favouritism, Arsenal are now 7/1 to sign the Swedish star. Liverpool (2/1) and Manchester United (3/1) are now shorter odds as it looks like all eggs are in the Benjamin Sesko basket. Today, 14:45 By Rahman Osman Barcelona are lining up a sensational swoop for Arsenal midfield warrior Thomas Partey and he won't cost them a penny. The La Liga giants' representatives have opened talks with the Ghanaian hardman's camp over a free transfer this summer with Partey's future at the Emirates still up in the air. Partey, 31, is out of contract at the end of June but has yet to agree a new deal with Arsenal despite Mikel Arteta publicly confirming he would like to keep him. The complex and slow-moving nature of negotiations has encouraged clubs like Barcelona and Atletico Madrid who are both looking to bolster their midfield muscle without breaking the bank. Sources close to the player have told SunSport that Partey is seen as a cut-price fix for Barcelona's engine room with boss Hansi Flick a big admirer of the ex-Atletico Madrid star. Today, 14:00 By Katherine Walsh Arsenal make major mistake already Mikel Arteta has been warned Arsenal have already made their first transfer mistake of the summer. An ex-EFL striker has blasted the Gunners for missing out on Liam Delap, who is joining London rivals Chelsea for £30m. Adebayo Akinfenwa told talkSPORT: "I don't understand how Arsenal didn't snap him up "I don't understand how, when you need a striker and you're looking at the transfer market, £30m is chump change in today's market. "So when you've got somebody who, you're talking about potential, they're talking about being a Harry Kane replacement for England, about a proper No.9. "As soon as Ipswich got relegated, they should have been in there. I think it's a no-brainer. "I think he's going to do well. I really do. I remember speaking to him when he was on loan at Stoke from Man City, and even back then. "His whole demeanour, his aura, he was self-assured, confident, good stature." Today, 12:00 By Laurence Ryan Benjamin Sesko latest According to Sky in Germany, Andrea Berta and Marcel Schafer held a secret meeting in regards to Benjamin Sesko. As mentioned before, Benjamin Sesko is now the No1 target for Arsenal this summer, with Leipzig looking to get the deal over the line as soon as possible. The Gunners will be in no rush to acquire Sesko, with other clubs seemingly backing off, or looking at other options. With that said, the Gunners, according to reports, have a verbal agreement with the Swede ahead of any deal this summer. Leipzig's Sesko will cost Arsenal around £70 million, with Gyokeres coming in somewhere between the £60-90 million region, with reports all suggesting Sporting CP want a different price. Today, 11:00 By Laurence Ryan Napoli join Gyokeres race Arsenal are one of a host of clubs around Europe eyeing a move for Sporting forward Viktor Gyokeres. Benjamin Sesko remains a priority for Arteta, but Gyokeres is also high on the list of targets for the Gunners. The Swede is of interest around Europe, with Serie A winners Napoli now joining the hunt for his signature. Antonio Conte's side have reportedly already picked up Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer from Man City, with Gyokeres also on the radar. De Bruyne x Haaland reborn in Naples? Today, 10:00 By Laurence Ryan Eze deal looking unlikely Arsenal are one of a number of clubs interested in acquiring Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace this summer. The 26-year-old has stepped up and been sensational for Palace in the absence of Michael Olise, but the Frenchman's form has seen Bayern Munich start to circle. Alongside Bayern, Tottenham and Man City also hold interest in Eze, meaning the Gunners will have to fend off a number of clubs for his signature. Arsenal, alongside Spurs, could offer Eze the chance to stay in London, although as of yet it is unknown as to whether the former QPR player has any interest in staying in the capital. Crystal Palace are also looking for Eze to sign, trying to get their FA Cup goalscoring hero to sign a new deal at Selhurst Park. As a result, Arsenal may turn to alternatives, such as Nico Williams or Rafael Leao, to fill out their attacking options. Today, 09:00 By Laurence Ryan Juventus man emerges as target Arsenal are looking to strengthen in a few areas this summer, with a new striker, and a new winger, on the list.
