‘Meet the Parents 4' Reveals Oscar-Nominee Is Joining Cast

Ariana Grande's movie career is already, ahem, Defying Gravity. The Wicked star has already started prepping for a new hit film, Meet the Parents 4, alongside none other than Hollywood legends Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The movie is set to hit the big screen on Nov. 25, 2026, only four days after Grande's second Wicked film arrives in theaters. Meet the Parents 4 will be the newest installment in Universal's classic comedy films. The first in the series, which came out in 2000, featured Ben Stiller as a nurse who faced hilarious mayhem while visiting his girlfriend's parents (Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner). Teri Polo stars as Stiller's girlfriend in the film, and Owen Wilson stars as her ex-boyfriend. The flick was an immediate hit and two follow-up movies were promptly rolled out in 2004 and 2010. Polo and Danner are expected to return alongside Stiller and De Niro, but the deals have yet to close, reported The Hollywood Reporter. In the upcoming installment, the son of Stiller and Polo gets engaged to an aggressive and dominating woman who isn't a great match. Grande allegedly plays this fiancée. Grande, who largely kicked off her career on Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious before excelling as a pop star, recently forayed back into acting in this year's record-breaking musical remake of Wicked. She earned an Oscar nomination for her role, along with Golden Globe, SAG, and BAFTA nominations for best support actress. The movie earned almost $800 million worldwide. Although casting directors have been tripping over each other to book her, she's declined several projects from Universal, Sony and Warner Bros., including one that would have given her the ability to pick her co-star. But Meet the Parents 4 finally caught her eye. When Meet the Parents first came out, it grossed over $330 million in the global box office, a number that would today be much higher. It also gave rise to another line of comedy sensations: Meet the Fockers with Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand, and Little Fockers, which culminated in a total franchise gross of $1.13 billion globally. John Hamburg, who wrote all three existing films, will also write the screenplay for the new movie. It will be produced through Jane Rosenthal and De Niro's Tribeca Productions and through Jay Roach's Delirious Media. Roach directed the first three films. Stiller will also produce with John Lester via Red Hour Films and Hamburg will produce through Particular Pictures. The project will be overseen by Jacqueline Garell and Matt Reilly.

Victoria Justice opens up about death threats after ‘We all sing' meme with Ariana Grande went viral

Victoria Justice has spoken out about the long-term impact of a viral meme that stemmed from an old interview clip involving her Victorious castmates and Ariana Grande. The comment, made when Justice was a teenager, became a running joke online and fuelled years of speculation about behind-the-scenes tensions. The meme originated from a 2017 clip in which the cast discussed who sang most off-camera. After Liz Gillies and Daniella Monet praised Grande's vocal habits, Justice added, 'I think we all sing.' The remark quickly spread on social media and was widely interpreted as a sign of rivalry, despite Justice repeatedly denying any conflict. Now, in 2025, Justice has revealed how deeply the online backlash affected her. Speaking on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals, she described receiving death threats and feeling publicly hated. 'There was a time for so long on the internet where I felt like people hated me,' she said. 'I got so much hate, dude. I got death threats.' She also shared how the experience impacted her mother, who was distressed by the online hostility directed at her daughter. Justice reflected on how the meme took on a life of its own, saying, 'It's factual. We did all sing, OK? What do you want from me?!' Although once overwhelmed by the online narrative, she now views the incident with humour and distance. 'Now I think it's funny. I'm in on the joke. I even say it to myself all the time,' she said. She added that she and Ariana Grande exchanged messages to clarify misunderstandings, stating the narrative of jealousy is no longer relevant. Justice is now focused on her current projects, including the upcoming film California King, and said she approaches her career with more self-awareness and humour.

Victoria Justice recalls receiving DEATH THREATS over tense exchange with Ariana Grande

Victoria Justice has spoken out about the immense backlash she received over a tense exchange involving Ariana Grande. The now-viral video from 2010 features a teen Victoria, who was starring in the Nickelodeon series Victorious, being interviewed outdoors alongside her cast members, which included Ariana Grande, Liz Gillies and Daniella Monet. The interviewer asked the girls which cast member sings the most outside of filming before they largely agreed Ariana did. However, Victoria - who played lead character Tori Vega - interjected with: 'I think we ALL sing,' while crossing her arms. The clip had fans speculating there was a lot of tension between Ariana and Victoria, with some guessing they were not friends. Victoria, now 32, went on to address it in a post online in 2017, shutting it down by writing: 'I think we ALL have better things to do than dredging up seven-year-old non-existent drama. That said, I'm kind of excited to finally be a meme.' But she was forced to further shut down rumors of on-set feuds in a 2023 interview with E! News. 'This whole narrative that was created of me being jealous of [Ariana] and us not being friends,' she said. She continued: 'I feel like it's this constant story of the media and people wanting to put people against each other and it's just... so not even relevant right now.' Victoria said the rumors were 'so dumb,' adding: 'Ten years later. How is this even a story? This is so stupid.' 'I don't even need to talk about this anymore, but Ariana texted me and we both were like, "This is so stupid,"' she explained. 'I think the biggest rumor is this whole narrative that was created of like me being jealous of her and of us not being friends.' The actress bought it up the viral moment again in a recent interview on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals, admitting there was a lot of 'hate' towards her which she found difficult. Victoria noted that it was 'very sweet' when people have expressed regret over the meme and rumors that came with it, especially since she'd dealt with a lot of hate for a long time. 'There was a time for so long on the internet where I felt like people hated me,' she admitted to host Joel. 'It can really be a ruthless place. And mob mentality is such a real thing,' she added. 'First of all, it's factual. We did all sing, okay? What do you want from me?! Speaking the facts,' she quipped. However, the actress and singer admitted the backlash from the viral meme was 'wild.' 'I got like death threats,' she admitted. 'I felt bad for my mom because she was looking at all the stuff online and she was like she was freaking out.' In 2024, the former child actress spoke to Marie Claire about disgraced TV producer Dan Schneider, and her working experience as a child and her reaction to the docuseries, Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV. While she sees her time at Nickelodeon positively, she did highlight some of the negatives while discussing Quiet On Set with the publication. 'Something that was very evident in the documentary is that Dan had a very large ego, and sometimes that ego clouded his better judgment and affected the way he treated people, and there were times I felt like I was being treated unfairly,' she explained. Many of those interviewed in the docuseries had accused Schneider of sneaking sexual overtones and double entendres into children's programming but the actress said that was not her personal experience but did admit there were certain moments that 'were in poor taste.' After the release of the docuseries Schneider had addressed some of the allegations and did admit that he owes apologies to many people. Victoria told writer of the piece Jazmine Hughes: 'I would say I'm definitely one of the people on that list.' The actress said that she has rarely been in contact with the former producer since she left the children's network aside from an occasional birthday text. She explained: 'I'm not condoning any of his behavior. At the end of the day, my relationship with Dan is a very complex one: I met him when I was 12 years old, and he's the person that gave me this big break. 'He completely changed my life. Most likely I wouldn't be here where I am today if it weren't for him, and for him seeing something in me. For that I will always be grateful.' Victoria seemingly still has a soft spot for the embattled producer especially after seeing his apology. She said: 'After watching his apology, I think he recognizes that he did a lot of things wrong, and I think if he could step back into a time machine, he would do a lot of things differently.'

'We Did All Sing, OK?': Victoria Justice Didn't Hold Back As She Recalled Getting Death Threats Over That Viral Ariana Grande Meme

I think we've ALL seen that famous Victoria Justice meme that went viral in 2017. The video in question features then-teenage Victoria being interviewed outdoors with her fellow Victorious cast members, including Ariana Grande, Liz Gillies, and Daniella Monet. When the group were asked which cast member sings the most outside of filming, and largely agreed that it was Ariana, Victoria — who played leading character Tori Vega on the hit Nickelodeon series — interjected and said, 'I think we ALL sing.' These five words became a widely-referenced meme online, with Victoria even addressing the buzz back in 2017. She tweeted, 'I think we ALL have better things 2 do than dredging up 7 yr old non-existent drama. That said, Im kind of excited to finally be a meme.' Twitter: @VictoriaJustice / Via The clip seemingly sparked a load of tension between Ariana and Victoria, with the pair appearing to shade each other over the years. However, Victoria shut down the long-running feud rumors during a 2023 interview. Fast forward to today, and Victoria has reflected on the viral moment once again during a new appearance on Mythical Kitchen's Last Meals. What do you want from me?! Speaking the facts,' she said. 'And then it's like I got all this hate, SO much hate,' she said. 'I'm like, 'What did I do? What did I do?' I'm sitting here living my life, just trying to work, live. It was wild.' Victoria went on to recall receiving death threats over the entire thing. 'I got so much hate, dude. I got death threats,' she said. "I felt bad for my mom, 'cause she was looking at all this stuff online and she was freaking out." 'It really took on a life of its own and became a thing,' she said, before adding: 'Now I think it's funny. I'm in on the joke.
