Yogi hails 2008 Malegaon verdict, demands public apology from Congress for 'false narrative of saffron terror'
31 Jul 2025 | 5:38 PM
Lucknow, July 31 (UNI) Following the court verdict acquitting all accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, demanding a public apology for what he described as an 'unpardonable crime' of coining the term 'saffron terror.'
Taking to social media platform X today, CM Yogi wrote, 'The acquittal of all accused in the Malegaon blast case is a living proclamation of 'Satyamev Jayate' (truth alone triumphs). This verdict once again exposes the anti-Bharat, anti-justice, and anti-Sanatan character of Congress, which defamed millions of devotees, saints, and patriots by fabricating the false narrative of 'saffron terrorism'.'
He further asserted that the Congress should publicly acknowledge its actions and apologize to the nation.
