Irish Love Island star Megan Forte Clarke fights to keep man on tonight's show
Love Island's Irish star Megan Forte Clarke is set to fight for Tommy's attention on tonight's show. On Monday night's episode, the Dubliner coupled up with Tommy based solely on his dating profile before he entered the villa. They've bonded over their Italian heritage with Tommy stating: "My nonna's watching this. She'll be buzzing." But after Toni's bombshell entrance left Shakira vulnerable to being dumped from the Island on Monday, the other girls are feeling the pressure to keep hold of their men. In tonight's episode, Megan nervously watches from the sidelines as Shakira and Tommy are talking, with Shakira telling Tommy: "I think it's best I try to get to know everyone." Meg, Helena and Dejon tell her not to sit back, with Helena saying: "Claim your man!" Megan adds: "I think I need to lipse him", while Dejon adds: "Go do it now!" Megan decides to go for it, interrupting the chat to ask Tommy for a chat. They head to the terrace, where Megan admits: "That made me a little bit jealous." In tonight's show, viewers will watch as Shakira wastes no time in securing her place in the villa and asks Harry for a chat on the terrace and things quickly turn flirty. Shakira teases: "Haza, you little minx!" Harry replies: "It's day two come on let's keep it PG." Putting the effort in to find a new connection, Shakira then pulls Irish star Conor for a chat and he tells her: "You surprised me, you came in with massive energy, but I feel like you're not like that, you're chill and smart." Shakira admits: "I love the Irish accent, it's sexy! I've never dated an Irish guy." She also catches up with Blu telling him "I think it's good cause it gives everyone a kick up the bum…I think you've got a good vibe…you're very calming and I don't have to put on a bravado." Later that evening, the Islanders are feeling tense as they realise one of the girls will be going home tonight. Shakira tells Toni: "I've been grafting… it's rubbed people up the wrong way but who's to stop you from cracking on?" Host Maya Jama then makes her dramatic return to the Villa, telling the Islanders: "Your 24 hours are up, please meet me by the firepit." At the firepit, Maya continues: "I gave you 24 hours to find a connection with one of the other boys or risk being dumped from the Island tonight, but have you done enough?" "Boys, do you wanna play it safe and stick with your current partner or take the risk and recouple with Shakira?" She then announces "Ok guys, if you feel you have a stronger connection with Shakira than your current couple, then please stand up…" As the girls watch on nervously, will any of the boys go for it and stand up for Shakira…or will it be Shakira herself packing up her suitcase? Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media Two

Love Island star gives advice to Megan Forte Clarke before she enters the villa
Love Island star Catherine Agbaje has advised Dubliner Megan Forte Clarke to stick with the girls when she enters the villa. Catherine, who appeared on the 10th season in 2023 and was also a finalist on the second season of Love Island: All Stars, said she was so happy to see an Irish woman going into the Spanish villa. The 24-year-old panto star is hoping to bring the drama to the villa from June 9 and has already been compared to former bombshell Maura Higgins. Speaking about Megan, Catherine said: "Dubliners are friendly, and she'll get along with everyone. "I'm just happy to see someone from Dublin again in the villa. I feel like you need a Dublin person." Catherine was in Dublin on Tuesday with fellow Love Islander Toby Aromolaran, who was a runner-up on the seventh season of the reality dating show in 2021 and also appeared on Love Island: All Stars last season. Speaking about Megan, Toby admitted he doesn't know if English guys can deal with Irish girls. "The thing is can English guys deal with Irish girls? You know?" he asked. "Yeah, we're feisty," said Catherine, laughing. Catherine said being Irish going into the villa is a culture shock at first. "I feel like obviously being from Ireland, going into the villa, you don't know what to expect, because, obviously you don't know it's a whole different culture out there. "You know, it's a whole different set of rules. But I feel like she'll be fine, like I feel once you go in there yourself, you make friends with the girls. "And Irish girls are such 'girls, girls'. So I feel like she will be a 'girl's girl', and that will stand to her." Speaking about her own experience when she came out of the villa at the time, Catherine said she needed a second to breathe and take in the chaos. "Mine was 50/50," she admitted. "Like, when you come out for the first time, you just get a 'wow'. Because you don't know, you've never been in this world before, and then you're also dealing with a lot of opinions. So like, you're trying to address, and then everyone around you is like, 'Oh, what happened?' "You just need a second." But Toby said he found the overnight fame very funny. "Mine was kind of different, because I came out in like, a relationship in it, so we kind of leaned on each other, which was a lot better than just coming out by yourself, because I feel like that the pressure of that is hard, even though the pressure of relationships is quite hard as well. "But I quite enjoyed it to be honest. I thought it's quite fun, like something different, out of the ordinary, like a different situation I've never been in, so I kind of leaned into it in a way. "Yeah, I found it funny half the time," he admitted. Catherine and Toby were speaking ahead of Love Island returning from June 9 at 9pm, with Maya Jama coming back as host of the reality TV show. Virgin Media has confirmed it will air a new game show, hosted by Doctor Who star David Tennant. Genius Game will air from April 30 at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Play. The series is a brand-new reality game show that will see strategically-minded players, chosen not just for their high intellectual prowess but also their social IQ, face the ultimate battle of survival. To win, contestants will participate in a host of never-before-seen games all designed to not only test their intellectual acumen, but encourage them to carefully and creatively use the art of manipulation to outfox their opponents and win a cash prize.
