Virohan partners with Orange Health Labs to offer diagnostic internships and jobs

Healthcare education provider Virohan has partnered with diagnostics provider Orange Health Labs to offer internships and employment opportunities to Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) students. The partnership aims to strengthen the workforce of skilled and certified Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLTs) to meet Orange Health Labs' rising demand, which is expected to grow from 300 to 1,000 hires annually over the next five years. The partnership is indicated to span 76 cities, including key urban centres such as Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bengaluru. Orange Health Labs, established in 2020, is a diagnostics provider offering at-home medical testing services. Virohan provides education and training in medical laboratory sciences, including clinical pathology, hematology, immunology, serology, biochemistry, histopathology, cytopathology, blood banking, and lab management. The institute states that its curriculum combines classroom learning with practical diagnostic experience to help students meet real-world job requirements. The institute states that despite advances in technology and AI in diagnostics, there remains a shortage of skilled frontline workers such as phlebotomists. Virohan states that it wishes to address this gap by offering industry-aligned programs and employer-integrated training to prepare students for employment in India's healthcare sector.
