The Best Beauty Launches of August 2025
These new products will get you prepped as you head into fall We don't mean to shade August, but respectfully, it's a strange month. One minute, we've got the AC on full blast. The next minute, we're shopping for fall boots. The same is true for beauty products. One the one hand, it's peak body acne season. One the other, we're trying to fortify our hair as we transition from our short-lived air-dry era back into daily heat-styling. Lucky for us, this month's launches address our wide-ranging needs. A new brand, called Gemz, is dropping travel-friendly hair care that will become a mainstay in your bathroom while Virtue has an elixir that revives strands overnight. And, Ayesha Curry just crushed guava girl summer with a new lip treatment inspired by the fruit. See everything we're stocking up on now below, and for even more beauty inspo, check out the best launches for July and June, too. Gemz Shampoo and Conditioner Gemz is here to shake up the hair care space. The brand consists of highly-concentrated, water-activated single dose shampoos and conditioners that you can mix and match depending on your wish list for your hair. Options range from Hydration Lock (shown) and Curly Days Shampoo to Profound Moisture (shown) and Rainy Day Anti-Frizz Conditioner. The beauty of this customizable system is it's free of fillers and stabilizers, which are in liquid shampoos and conditioners that can cause buildup on hair. No buildup means longer lasting results, another plus from your soon to be go-to duos. Buy It! Gemz Hydration Lock Shampoo, $9.50; and Profound Moisture Conditioner, $9.50; Papatui Full Body Deodorant Spray in Lush Coconut Dwayne Johnson keeps churning out win after win at Papatui. After launching stick deodorant and antiperspirant at launch, he's back with his version of a hot-right-now and of-so-necessary full-body spray that can be sprayed almost any area you want to refresh from your chest to your feet. The founder says it meets a need: "The idea for a full body deodorant came from conversations — guys reaching out, sharing what they were looking for, and where other products were falling short. We spent a lot of time getting this one right. It's aluminum-free, it smells incredible, and it works — simple as that." Buy It! Papatui Full Body Deodorant Spray in Lush Coconut, $13; Malin + Goetz Cleansing Bar Vitamin B5 Hydrating Bar in Rum Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz launched their eponymous brand in 2004 in New York City with an assortment of time and space-saving skincare, body care, and hair care created with an on-the-go lifestyle in mind. Finally, they have cleansing bars that pay homage to bar soap, but were crafted with that same desire for smart solutions that help you streamline your routine. The collection includes a mandelic acid exfoliating bar as well as two vitamin b5 hydrating bars in the brand's signature scents: strawberry and rum (shown). Buy It! Malin + Goetz Cleansing Bar Vitamin B5 Hydrating Bar in Rum, $20; Sweet July Skin Lip Treatment in Guava Jelly Ayesha Curry introduced Sweet July Skin in 2023 with a trio of products created with superfoods rooted in her Jamaican heritage. Little did we know then, she was already working on what she'd debut this month: lip treatments. After two and a half years in development, the addition is here in an unscented version as well as Lychee Jelly and Guava Jelly. And not to play favorite, but given it's guava girl summer, we are partial to the tube (shown) which mimics the outer color of the fruit, as well as the inner color (yes, this one has a hint of pink) as well as the scent and taste of the guava jelly she used to spread on toast growing up. Buy It! Sweet July Skin Lip Treatment in Guava Jelly, $24; First Aid Beauty Body Acne Clearing Mist 2% Salicylic Acid First Aid Beauty is addressing body breakouts head on with its new Body Acne Clearing Mist. The lightweight spray uses 2% salicylic acid and glycerin to treat and prevent acne without drying skin out. That combined with the 360-degree nozzle which covers a lot of ground, it's got a permanent spot in our post-shower body care routines. But if you need an acne solution for the neck, up, we suggest the brand's new single-use Acne Clearing Pads, which are powered by the same ingredients. Buy It! First Aid Beauty Body Acne Clearing Mist 2% Salicylic Acid, $28; Biossance Squalane + 5% Niacinamide Brightening Eye Serum Biossance has been making waves in skincare since it launched in 2016, with its Squalane-infused products (the ingredient is a super-hydrator) reaching viral status, among them the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, Squalane + Omega Repair Cream and Squalane + Copper Peptide Rapid Plumping Serum. This eye cream addition joins the brand's Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream. While that previous launch focused on fine lines and firming, this one targets dark circles and addresses puffiness – both instantly and long term. Buy It! Biossance Squalane + 5% Niacinamide Brightening Eye Serum, $44; OleHenriksen Peach Glaze Glow Niacinamide Serum Vitamin C has become a common ingredient in skincare, but over 40 years ago, OleHenriksen was among one of skincare brands that helped the ingredient enter the chat with the launch of its Truth Serum. Fast-forward to today, and the brand has launched a juicy twist on Vitamin C with its Peach Glaze Collection. Developed with custom peach active ingredients — including peach juice, extract, and ferment — the formulas (which include this serum and an addition to its popular lip treatment) brighten, hydrate, and strengthen skin's barrier and smell delicious, too. Virtue PR Study Predicts ‘Mind-Made' Limited Editions Services to Define Premium Business Offerings in the AI Era
A new study by Virtue PR, a leading PR agency in Dubai, forecasts a dramatic shift in the value of human-driven expertise. In the next decade, 'Mind-Made' products—those crafted by human intellect, strategic thinking, and creativity—will emerge as premium services in an era increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence. Founded nearly two decades ago, Virtue PR has been at the crossroads of two transformative ages—when press releases were still physically dispatched via courier companies to global media outlets, and the rise of the digital revolution that reshaped the PR industry. This unique positioning has allowed the company to evolve with time while maintaining a commitment to authentic and high-value communication in the world of premium PR services. The study draws a compelling analogy between the pre-industrial revolution, when Hand-Made craftsmanship was the pinnacle of quality, and today's digital revolution, where Mind-Made services—crafted by human intelligence, experience, and storytelling—are becoming the new luxury. Firas Sleem, CEO of Virtue PR, explains: 'Before the industrial revolution, 'Hand-Made' meant craftsmanship, exclusivity, and superior quality. Today, we are witnessing the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where artificial intelligence is rapidly replacing human labour. But just as 'Hand-Made' products became luxury goods in a world of mass production, 'Mind-Made' services—those built on human intellect, creativity, and insight—will be the most sought-after in the AI era.' The Virtue PR study highlights key industries where 'Mind-Made' services will hold unparalleled value: PR & Strategic Communications – AI can generate press releases, but only human expertise can shape narratives that influence markets, build reputation, and drive real engagement. Luxury & High-End Consulting – Just as elite brands distinguish themselves through craftsmanship, premium PR will be defined by expertise, not automation. Executive & Crisis Management – In the digital age, reputation is everything. Businesses need human intelligence, ethical judgment, and emotional nuance—not algorithmic responses. Creative Branding & Storytelling – AI can produce content, but it cannot craft compelling brand stories that resonate on a human level. Virtue, a PR firm based in Dubai that has navigated PR's evolution for over 18 years is now blending timeless PR principles with cutting-edge innovation to deliver results that are both strategic and deeply human. The study serves as a wake-up call for businesses and brands navigating a digital-first world. While AI is a powerful tool, organizations that invest in 'Mind-Made' expertise will differentiate themselves in the marketplace. 'As companies look to maintain credibility and trust in an AI-saturated world, the firms that prioritize human intelligence, creativity, and emotional connection will lead the way,' Sleem added. 'Virtue PR has always stood for this philosophy—delivering strategic, premium, and high-impact communication that no AI can replicate.' Virtue PR is a top PR agency in Dubai, specializing in high-level corporate communications, brand storytelling, crisis management, and strategic reputation building. The agency continues to shape the PR industry with bold, human-driven narratives that set brands apart.

This Is How To Get Perfect Beach Waves At Home In Three Easy Steps
As a certified beauty junkie, I am diligent about certain things: I use the two-finger rule to apply SPF everyday, I wash my make-up brushes regularly and I gua sha nightly, but my high-maintenance approach stops at my hair. I wash it twice a week (and would do it less if I could), I avoid heat styling where I can, and I keep product use to the bare minimum. You won't find any fancy scalp exfoliants, bond builders or gloss-givers in my bathroom cabinet. My lazy-girl approach isn't for everyone, but it's helped me to discover fool-proof hacks that save time and require minimal effort, all while maintaining hair health. In fact, I've recently come to rely on a simple three-step hack that lends the kind of beachy look that will see me through summer. All you need? Two products and a plait. For context, I have thick, medium dense, XXL strands that fall into the category of type 2 waves. My low-fi approach wasn't always so, for years I had masked my natural texture with straighteners and hair thinning cuts to make things appear more 'manageable' and 'put together'. Stumbling upon the Curly Girl Method in 2019 gave me all the confidence I needed to shift my mindset. I adopted specific wash days, used curl activators and gels, and bought a diffuser; my type 2C S-waves flourished like never before. But in the end, even that became too laborious. I thought I met my match with heatless curlers, but the effort of intricately and evenly weaving my hair around a satin rod, which always left my roots looking a bit funky, felt bothersome, too. Three steps to heatless effortless beach waves My new three-step routine is the happy medium and it starts with freshly washed hair. Post-evening shower, step one sees me towel-dry my hair before applying Fable & Mane's MahaMane™ Leave-In Conditioner, £28, which is without a doubt the best leave-in product I've ever used- trust me, I've gone through five bottles of the stuff since it launched in 2023. The all-rounder detangles, protects against heat and UV, and nourishes with a cocktail of moisture-boosting aloe vera, antioxidant-rich amla and elasticity-enhancing red hibiscus extracts, which together condition, strengthen and soften hair to prevent breakage. The milky mist provides ample hydration without weighing roots and lengths down, and scents hair with a warm blend of saffron, rose damascena and sandalwood, to create the perfect base for natural styling. Step two introduces oil into the mix. Applying oil to damp, towel-dried hair allows the product to penetrate into the hair shaft effectively while helping to lock in moisture. It's also great for detangling and sealing over cuticles for a smoother look. I use this step to treat my hair and reach for Virtue's Healing Oil, £42. Pouring a few drops into my hands before warming between my palms, I apply the oil to the mid sections and ends of my hair. The clever oil combines the brand's patented bio-identical keratin protein Alpha Keratin 60ku , which can directly bind to damaged areas of the hair to repair, with antioxidant vitamin E, strengthening Tahitian gardenia flower extract, and environmental damage-shielding Kalahari melon seed oil. While rich and hard-working as far as ingredient quality in concerned, the oil is super fluid, featherweight and glides over lengths for a glossy-never-greasy finish that always helps my waves to look lustrous by morning. Continuing the theme of good smelling haircare, this oil is infused with a functional fragrance blend of creamy coconut and tropical yuzu extracts, which tend to hair while making it smell delicious. The final step requires two braids and I'm not talking fishtails, French or any other type of complex braid pattern. Just two very simple pigtails. I part my hair down the centre and tie either sides of my hair into two separate plaits. Once tied, I go to bed with ever so slightly damp hair. Come morning all that's left to do is unbraid, run through with my fingers and go. Consider this hack lazy girl-approved. Beauty writer Sameeha Shaikh with overnight heatless braided curls 1. Fable & Mane's MahaMane™ Leave-In Conditioner Price: £28 What the brand says: 'Instantly detangle, protect and moisturize hair with this lightweight leave-in conditioner.' What we know: Fable & Mane looks to ingredients, rituals and techniques based in the ancient principles of Ayurveda, so you'll find hydrating aloe vera, conditioning amla and shine-giving red hibiscus extracts in this milky mist. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'This is without a doubt the best leave-in product I've used – trust me, I've gone through five bottles of the stuff since it launched in 2023. The all-rounder detangles, protects against heat and UV, and nourishes with a cocktail of moisture-boosting aloe vera, antioxidant-rich amla and elasticity-enhancing red hibiscus extracts, which together condition, strengthen and soften hair to prevent breakage. The milky mist provides ample hydration without weighing roots and lengths down, and scents hair with a warm blend of saffron, rose damascena and sandalwood, to create the perfect base for natural styling.' Pros Delicately scented Weightless hydration Cons Spray nozzle can spritz unevenly once most of the product is used 2. Virtue Healing Oil Price: £42 What the brand says: 'Created with all hair types in mind, it's the ultimate multi-tasker, delivering the shine, softness, and moisturizing you'd expect from a hair oil and the damage repair, strengthening, and environmental protection that only our bio-identical protein can provide.' What we know: Virtue's clever biotech-first approach means the brand has cooked up its own bio-identical keratin protein, which can bind directly to damaged areas of the hair to repair. A combination of this patented Alpha Keratin 60ku® protein and pure, hydrating oils make this product a failsafe for all hair types. Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'While rich and hardworking as far as ingredient quality in concerned, this oil is super fluid, featherweight and glides over lengths for a glossy-never-greasy finish that always helps my waves to look lustrous.
