Temple activist Yamuna Pathak honoured with Bharat Gaurav Sanatan Samman

Hyderabad: The Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad (VHRP) recently passed a six-point resolution at its international meeting held in Lucknow. During this conference, Yamuna Pathak, the national president of the women's wing of the VHRP from Hyderabad, was honoured with the Bharath Gaurav Sanatan Samman. The award was presented by Uttar Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Brajesh Pathak, and VHRP's international president, Gopal Rai. Yamuna Pathak received this recognition for her significant contributions to preserving and reviving the cultural heritage of ancient temples in the Old City of Hyderabad, as well as her ongoing efforts to reclaim encroached properties belonging to these temples. The UP Deputy Chief Minister remarked that Sanatana Dharma promotes inclusivity and harmony, emphasising that it is a faith that never discriminates against people and always aims for the welfare of all living beings. He noted that for centuries, Sanatana Dharma and Hinduism have upheld the concept of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,' which conveys the message of the world as one family. He stressed that the core ideals of Sanatana Dharma seek to overcome evil for the prevalence of good and to promote the harmonious coexistence of all beings.

Sanatan Dharma stands for universal brotherhood: Dy CM

1 2 Lucknow: Emphasising India's ancient tradition of inclusivity and harmony, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Sunday said Sanatan Dharma was the only faith that never discriminated between people and always envisioned welfare of all living beings. Speaking at the International Delegates' Conference organised by the Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow, Pathak said, "Representatives from seven countries have gathered here today. Since time immemorial, Sanatan Dharma and Hinduism upheld the idea of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (world is one family). We do not differentiate between our own and outsiders. We live by the ideals of victory of righteousness, defeat of evil and goodwill among all beings. We will walk shoulder-to-shoulder with all of you to uphold these values." The conference, attended by delegates from US, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia and Nepal, witnessed renewed calls for declaring India a Hindu Rashtra . Gopal Rai was elected unanimously as international president of the Vishwa Hindu Raksha Parishad. In his address, Rai said the fight for India to be declared a Hindu nation would continue and urged for creation of a strong global Hindu community. The Dharma Sansad was convened in the backdrop of the recent Pahalgam killings in Jammu & Kashmir, where Hindus were reportedly targeted after being asked about their religion. Former MP and Ram Janmbhoomi leader Ram Vilas Vedanti blamed past govts for fostering terrorism and alleged that former PM Jawaharlal Nehru's decision to halt Indian forces led to the creation of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. "When we were fighting for Ram Temple, all Ram opponents united. But now you see — the temple stands tall," Vedanti said. Mahant Raju Das of Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya called the Pahalgam incident "deeply condemnable" and said time had come for formal declaration of a Hindu Rashtra. International attendees included Shiv Shankar (Singapore), Sanjeev Sharma (Brazil), Rakesh Pal Chopra (USA) and Pawan Kumar Rai (Malaysia), among others.
