1 2 Lucknow: The monsoon session of the UP Assembly, beginning Aug 11, is likely to see a 24-hour long marathon session to discuss the vision document for 'Viksit Bharat-Viksit Uttar Pradesh-2047'. In a meeting with senior officials on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the govt has started work on preparing the vision document for the project, and a 24-hour discussion on the Vision Document-2047 is proposed in the upcoming legislative session. "In view of this discussion, every department should prepare a concise and substantive note on their work over the past eight years. The legislature is accountable to the public. Through this note, departmental ministers will present their work reports to the public," the CM said. The vision document, the CM said, would set the agenda for UP's development for the coming two decades. At present, departments have been directed to set development goals and devise strategies to implement them. The CM emphasised the need to involve the public in ensuring UP's growth as a leading state in the country. "The expectations of the public should be included in the vision document. For this, a QR code should be issued soon to gather suggestions from the public. This QR code should be placed in public places such as govt offices, panchayat buildings, hospitals, and bus stations. All relevant departments should ensure its preparation," the CM said. Among other directions he issued for the upcoming session, the CM said that the responses to questions by legislators should be logical, relevant, of high quality, and in line with the expectation of the questions. He directed senior department officials to personally evaluate the responses. "All departments have performed well over the past eight years. Present your points positively. Officials should maintain good communication with the departmental minister and make timely decisions to advance the work," he added. Reviewing the flood situation in the state, the CM said that control rooms in flood-affected districts should remain active. He said that every flood-affected person should receive relief material and that the materials should be of good quality and in sufficient quantity. Adequate arrangements for boats should be made for relief and rescue operations. Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI).
