Russian drone attack triggers fire on roof of apartment block, officials say
(Reuters) -A Russian drone attack triggered a fire on Thursday evening on the roof of a 16-storey apartment building in a northern suburb of Kyiv, Tymur Tkachenko, head of the city's military administration said.
"Enemy drones are flying over Kyiv. Our defences are working to do away with the threat," Tkachenko wrote on Telegram.
Mayor Vitlai Klitschko issued an appeal for medical teams to head to the Obolon district in response to the fire. Reuters witnesses reported air defence units in action in different districts of the capital.
