Couple kicked off flight for pushing crew and removing other passengers' bags

A pair of 'disruptive passengers' were ejected from a Viva Aerobus flight in Mexico after barging past crew members and yanking other passengers' luggage out of the overhead, as seen in a video taking off online. 'They started insulting the flight attendant and taking other passengers' bags down to put their own in,' one furious fly-witness told Jam Press of the kerfuffle, which occurred Easter Sunday at Puerto Vallarta International Airport.

They sent them 'packing.' A pair of 'disruptive passengers' were ejected from a Viva Aerobus flight in Mexico after barging past crew members and yanking other passengers' luggage out of the overhead, as seen in a video taking off online. 3 The male passenger slams the overhead bin. Jam Press 'They started insulting the flight attendant and taking other passengers' bags down to put their own in,' one furious fly-witness told Jam Press of the kerfuffle, which occurred Easter Sunday at Puerto Vallarta International Airport. The trouble began after the unidentified male and female passenger boarded the packed flight late after everyone else was seated, shoving past flight attendants. The hellions then attempted to store at least one supersize suitcase in the overhead bin despite purchasing a basic ticket that only permitted them to bring one small personal item each. When they saw that the storage lockers were full, the miscreants attempted to remove other flyers' belongings to make room. 3 The pair vacate the aircraft to cheers of their fellow passengers. Jam Press 3 The woman leaves the plane. 'They started insulting the flight attendant and taking other passengers' bags down to put their own in,' recalled one furious fly-witness. Jam Press At that point, crew members informed them that they'd need to pay extra to place the luggage in the cargo hold, but the pair refused and reportedly became quite rude. The aforementioned witness claimed they 'got angry because the crew wanted to check them in' and 'slammed the compartments.' At that point, the hellraisers were instructed to leave the plane, but they said no. Left with little recourse, the captain got on the intercom and ordered the two to leave voluntarily or be escorted off by authorities. 'To the disruptive passengers who displayed unacceptable behavior, of your own free will and without delay, please leave the aircraft,' the pilot declared. 'If you don't, the ground crew has been instructed to call the National Guard, and they can take care of you. Remember that you are in a federal zone.' Accompanying footage shows the passengers cheering as the duo vacate the plane with the man opening and closing several compartments in apparent defiance. Viva Aerobus has been approached for comment.

TEAMSTERS FIGHT ALLEGIANT AIR'S JOB-KILLING SCHEME

Teamsters Oppose Allegiant's Plans to Outsource Work to Mexico WASHINGTON, April 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The Teamsters Union strongly opposes Allegiant Air's efforts to enter into a joint venture with Viva Aerobus, an ultra-low-cost carrier based in Mexico. Allegiant Air is seeking regulatory approval for the new partnership, which would give the majority of jobs and flying hours to Mexican crews with Viva Aerobus at the expense of 1,400 Allegiant pilots represented by Teamsters Local 2118. 'We see Allegiant's proposal for what it is –– a shameless attempt to lower our members' standard of living, all to enrich Allegiant's greedy executives,' said Teamsters General President Sean M. O'Brien. 'Allegiant's un-American attempt to outsource Teamsters work to foreign crews is unacceptable. Allegiant pilots and customers deserve better than this carrier's disrespect.' 'While we support the development of new routes and business for Allegiant, their application with Viva Aerobus will kill American jobs and set a dangerous precedent in the airline industry,' said Captain Josh Alen, the Negotiations Chair for Local 2118. 'It is extremely insulting that Allegiant would threaten to outsource our work in the middle of contract negotiations. We will not rest until Allegiant recognizes the value we provide and protects our work here in the United States.' As the Department of Transportation considers the most recent filing from Allegiant Air and Viva Aerobus, the Teamsters Union urges in the strongest possible terms that their motion be denied. Teamsters Local 2118 represents 1,400 hardworking Allegiant Air pilots nationwide. For more information, go to Contact:Kara Deniz, (202) 497-6610kdeniz@
