Missing Komatireddy and Vivek families in PAC sparks buzz in Cong over cabinet berths
1 2 Hyderabad: Two missing names – Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy and G Vivek Venkatswamy – in the all-important political affairs committee (PAC) of the state Congress announced on Thursday has created a buzz in party circles about the high command's plans for the two politically important families. The talk in party is that the Komatireddy and Vivek's families may get representation in either the cabinet expansion or the working presidents' posts. That's something other aspirants are keen on stopping. These competing aspirants have sent letters to the leadership in Delhi, stating that Venkat Reddy is already a minister and another cabinet berth for his younger brother Rajgopal should not be allowed. They also pointed out that three tickets were given to Vivek's family, including two MLA and one MP ticket – all three were won by them. But both Rajgopal and Vivek have maintained that without them the Congress would not have managed the slender margin with 64 seats in the assembly. The two were also reportedly promised cabinet berths on their return to the Congress before assembly polls. On Friday, the meeting of TPCC top guns with Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was cancelled. TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud said that another date would be fixed and maintained that they were expecting the cabinet expansion soon. "We followed social justice by giving representation to all castes and communities in the five committees announced on Thursday. District representation was also taken into consideration. It was ensured that veterans and young blood were given opportunities. The composition of the new TPCC team comprising working presidents, vice-presidents and general secretaries will see maximum representation from SCs, STs, and BCs. I have personally urged the party high command to give more berths in the cabinet to BCs," Mahesh Goud said. In response to media queries over the missing names in the five committees, Mahesh Goud said that all the ministers are special invitees to the PAC meeting. "We could not have named all the ministers in the PAC, but they can attend the PAC meeting as special invitees," he said. A senior AICC leader said the party high command is likely to announce four working presidents and several vice presidents without any more consultation with the TPCC as all the details have already been submitted by the state leadership. However, there is no clarity on the cabinet expansion date.

Vivek Dahiya reveals that Divyanka and he haven't registered their marriage yet; though they have been married for 9 years
Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya have been away from the TV screens but make sure to entertain their fans through their vlogs. The duo recently had a trip to Divyanka's home where she celebrated her father's birthday and spent some quality time with the family. During their family visit, Vivek Dahiya revealed that Divyanka isn't legally married to him. Vivek explained, "Shaadi nahi hui matlab, we haven't applied for the marriage certificate. The marriage registration is still left." Divyanka shared how her family ordered all the dishes from different famous outlets for their family breakfast. Vivek also made an impromptu challenge for the family members to have the imlie chutney like a drink. As Divyanka's mother mistakenly ate her pancake with the chutney thinking it was a chocolate sauce. Tirupati DFO stresses on native plant varieties for better green cover
District Forest Officer (Tirupati) P. Vivek on Wednesday emphasised on the need to plant native varieties to ensure a harmonious development of greenery in the district. At the launch of Vanamahotsavam, annual mass plantation drive, at the Divyaramam Eco Park near Kapilatheertham, the DFO unveiled an ambitious plan to plant five lakh native varieties. Mr. Vivek said, 'Native varieties have protected our soil, water, and life for centuries. Local communities, volunteers and nature lovers must take responsibility for safeguarding these trees'. Describing the Seshachalam Biosphere Reserve as a harmonious blend of spirituality and nature, Mr. Vivek highlighted the forest department's initiatives like environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, restoration and awareness. 'Native plants such as terminalia bellirica (Tani), albizia amara (usiri), pterocarpus marsupium (red sandalwood), syzygium cumini (neredu) are being planted during forest expansion drives, as they have been a natural part of the region's ecosystem for centuries and play a vital role in the ecological balance', he said. The DFO pointed out that invasive foreign species like prosopis juliflora and lantana camara were being eradicated and controlled in view of their harmful impact on native biodiversity. The DFO urged the public to take part in the drive and plant their favourite native sapling on important days and events. Responding to the DFO's call, senior journalist and nature enthusiast P. Ramachandra Reddy planted a Kadamba plant marking his 65th birthday. Trekkers, nature lovers and morning walkers took part in the drive in large numbers.
