A team of seven Pōrangahau ambulance volunteers have been recognised for their hard work and dedication to the life-saving rural service and community. The St John Pōrangahau First Response team were awarded the 'People's Choice' at the Volunteering Hawke's Bay Excellence Awards earlier in the month. an emergency medical technician and volunteer with the service, said the award reflected not only their dedication to their community but also the community's appreciation of them.
