Suspect in alleged child sexual assault remains at large, B.C. police say
A wanted man sought in connection with an alleged child sexual assault in Delta, B.C., last year remains at large, police said Tuesday while renewing calls for information on his whereabouts.
Delta resident Gurkirat Singh, 26, is the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, and sexual interference of a person under 16 years old.
Authorities have shared few details on the allegations, except that they date back to Sept. 12, 2024.
Nearing one year later, the Delta Police Department's Vulnerable Sector Unit put out a public plea for help locating Singh so he can 'stand trial for these allegations.'
'Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gurkirat Singh is asked to call 911 or Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers,' police said in a news release. 'All tips can be submitted anonymously.'
Crime Stoppers issued a similar appeal back in May, saying Singh is 'considered a danger to the community.'
The suspect is described as 6' tall, approximately 140 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
Police also shared an image of Singh, but said it's possible he has altered his appearance.
Tips can be submitted to Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-8477 or online at
