"The Last Of Us" Included A Stunning Performance From Isabela Merced This Week, And Everyone Has The Same Perfect Reactions

🚨 There are massive — and I mean MASSIVE — spoilers ahead for The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 4! 🚨 Hi. Yes. Hello. The Last of Us began its journey into Seattle this week with Season 2, Episode 4 — titled "Day One," directed by Kate Herron and written by Craig Mazin — which notably featured some of the biggest developments for Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Dina's (Isabela Merced) relationship. After arriving in Seattle, Ellie and Dina start out trying to find Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and her friends. Looking around and staying clear of the W.L.F. leads to one of the most beloved game moments when Ellie and Dina hide out in a music store, and Ellie plays her "Take on Me." And while that moment is jaw-droppingly beautiful, the episode quickly shifts to some of the most anxiety-inducing moments so far this season, when Ellie and Dina come across a bunch of dead W.L.F bodies, whom they think have been killed by the Seraphites, and they must escape the W.L.F who chase them deep into the underground transit system of Seattle where there is a hoard of infected waiting for them. It's here that Dina and Ellie's relationship is truly tested when Ellie gets bit in order to save Dina's life, which launches us into arguably one of the best moments of the entire season, when Dina learns that Ellie is immune. And in an incredible departure from the game, this is where Dina and Ellie FINALLY get together, with Dina revealing that she's pregnant — yeah, it's very much stressful all around now — before her and Ellie have sex for the first time and she reveals that she loves Ellie. Oh, and on top of all of this, Jeffrey Wright makes his long-awaited debut as Isaac, who he also played in The Last of Us Part II. So, naturally, fans — like me — took to Twitter to voice their opinions over this latest episode, make some incredible jokes, and give A+ commentary about "Day One." So, here are some of the best tweets about The Last of Us Season 2, Episode 4: Editor's Note: While we can't endorse what X has become, we can bring you the worthwhile moments that still exist there, curated and free of the surrounding chaos. 1.
