WAMY Launches 11th Medical Convoy to Maroua, Cameroon

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has dispatched its 11th medical convoy to Maroua, Cameroon, led by a specialized team of ophthalmologists and eye surgeons. During the mission, the team successfully performed 330 eye surgeries, including cataract extractions and treatments for various ocular conditions. In addition, they carried out 842 medical examinations—such as vision screenings—and provided comprehensive treatment plans for patients, particularly in underserved and remote regions. This initiative is part of WAMY's broader health outreach across Africa, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian service and sustainable development by supporting vulnerable communities and easing their medical hardships.
