RailOne launches free OTT streaming for passengers — How to watch movies, web series without any subscription fee
RailOne, the recently launched Indian Railways Super App, available on both PlayStore and AppStore now offers free OTT (Over-The-Top) entertainment, Indian Express reported. Passengers on the go need not worry about getting bored as the application launched by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on July 1 not only caters to food cravings but also tends to entertainment needs. Now one can enjoy movies, web shows, documentaries, audio programs, games and more as they head to their destination. To stream free OTT content on RailOne App, follow the steps provided below: Step 1: Login through mPIN or biometric. Step 2: Under 'More Offerings' section on the home screen, click on 'Go To Waves' menu. Step 3: The user will be directed to a new page where they can access free OTT content including movies, shows, documentaries, and more. The all-in-one mobile application not only incorporates passenger services like ticket booking, Unreserved UTS Tickets and Live train tracking features but also Grievance redressal, E-catering, Porter booking and Last-mile taxi. This free OTT access comes after Indian Railways' RailOne App integrated the WAVES OTT platform. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting describes WAVES OTT as a free-to-access platform, available on smartphones and internet-enabled devices that offers credible, informative, and culturally rich content without any subscription fee. Notably, this platform was launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024. It offers content in more than 10 languages featuring a diverse range of entertainment options, from live TV, on-demand videos, audio and gaming to e-commerce. Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in a post on X stated, 'RailOne - A single app for all your train travel needs! Book tickets, track your train, order food, and more — all with RailOne. Your journey, now simpler than ever.'

RailOne App Indian Railways: Good news for rail passengers. The newly launched Indian Railways Super App 'RailOne' now offers free OTT (Over-The-Top) entertainment. The users can enjoy movies, web shows, documentaries, audio programs, games and more during their journey. Launched on July 1, 2025, the RailOne app is all-in-one application with a user-friendly interface. The mobile app integrates all the passenger services such as: Unreserved UTS Tickets, Live train tracking, Grievance redressal, E-catering, Porter booking and Last-mile taxi, apart from ticket booking. Indian Railways' RailOne App has integrated the WAVES OTT platform, enhancing its entertainment offerings. Launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024, the platform offers content in more than 10 languages. It offers a diverse range of live TV, on-demand videos, audio, gaming, and e-commerce – all under one digital roof. The WAVES OTT has been working with a wide network of content creators, regional broadcasters, cultural institutions to onboard content, across multiple Indian languages and dialects, to enhance linguistic and cultural diversity. Here's how you can stream free OTT content, movies, and shows on the RailOne app: Developed by Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), the RailOne app also supports existing RailConnect & UTS credentials. The app is space-saving, as there is no need to install multiple apps. It allows passengers to book reserved as well as unreserved tickets on mobile phone. However, the users can also book tickets on IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) app. This new mobile application has been authorised by IRCTC just like many other commercial apps who have partnered with IRCTC. Della Bella: Badlegi Kahaanis screening held in Delhi prior to OTT release
New Delhi, Jul 18 (PTI) 'Della Bella: Badlegi Kahaani", a feature film from Neelesh K Jain, had its premiere in the national capital on Friday, ahead of its release on OTT. The screening was held at Rang Bhawan, Akashvani Bhawan, New Delhi and was attended by Shri Navneet Kumar Sehgal, chairman of Prasar Bharati, according to a press release. Described as a 'visually poetic Hindi film that explores themes of love, identity, and self-realization", 'Della Bella: Badlegi Kahaani" will stream on WAVES OTT, an application introduced by Prasar Bharati. Slated to premiere on WAVES OTT today, it will also have a scheduled telecast on DD National. The film follows a woman's journey to reclaim her voice and individuality, reflecting the evolving social and cultural ethos of modern India. 'WAVES OTT is India's only public service streaming platform that blends legacy with digital innovation. Alongside original films like 'Della Bella', the platform offers a rich collection of documentaries, radio shows, regional cinema, classic DD archives, and live TV and radio channels—making it a truly inclusive and multilingual experience. Web series 'Pratishod' to be out on WAVES OTT on this date
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 21 (ANI): Web series 'Pratishod', which stars Sudha Chandran, Satyakam Anand, and Aditi Sanwal among others, is all set to be out soon on WAVES OTT. The show will be released on May 24. As per a press note, 'Pratishod' is loaded with crime, mystery, and high-voltage drama. It revolves around the 'murder of a woman and the intense investigation led by her daughter to uncover the truth.' Filmmaker Ajay K. Pannalal directed the show, which also stars Raj Sharma, Ashutosh Kaushik, Varun Joshi, Priya Gupta, and Shreya Khanna. On what audience can expect from the show, director Ajay K. Pannalal in a press note said, 'Pratishod is not just a murder mystery--it's a layered emotional story that reflects the fight for justice, truth, and closure. We've crafted it to keep viewers engaged and guessing right till the end.'
