She Was Forced to Share Custody of Their Daughter — So She Had Someone Kill Her Ex in Front of the Girl

A Florida mother has been found guilty of premeditated murder after authorities say she encouraged her former stepfather to kill the father of her child after the victim won a shared custody arrangement for the daughter they shared. Florida State Attorney Ginger Bowden Madden said in a news release last week that Rachiel Moore was found guilty of premeditated murder and tampering with evidence. Moore, 27, was sentenced to life without parole in state prison for the 2023 murder of Colby Vinson, according to Madden. Vinson, 24, was shot and killed by Moore's former stepfather Jason L. Curtis shortly after returning home from the grocery store with his and Moore's young daughter, according to the 2023 warrant for Curtis' arrest, obtained by PEOPLE. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office warrant said Vinson was shot 'outside his front door' while he appeared to be loading groceries from his car. Police said Vinson had recently been 'awarded 50/50 custody' of his and Moore's daughter less than a week prior to his killing. 'The investigation revealed that Rachiel Moore, the mother of the minor child, communicated with her former stepfather Jason Curtis all week in reference to Curtis driving down from Alabama to kill Colby Vinson,' the Florida State Attorney's statement on Moore's sentencing said. 'Rachiel Moore paid Curtis gas money to make the trip and provided all of Colby's personal information for Jason Curtis to identify, locate, and murder Colby Vinson.'According to the warrant, Moore paid Curtis $50 for gas after communicating with him via Facebook Messenger. After Moore initially told Curtis about the result of her and Vinson's custody battle, Santa Rosa police said her former stepfather sent her photos of guns and knives, telling Moore 'not to worry about it.'Moore told police 'this looks bad for her' and that she 'didn't think [Curtis] would do something like this,' the 2023 warrant says. Moore later deleted the Facebook Messenger app from her phone, believing it would delete the conversation between them. Deputies responding to the March 2023 murder scene said they found Moore and Vinson's then-4-year-old daughter sitting next to her father's body, according to local WEAR. Curtis was sentenced to life in prison last year, according to the outlet. Read the original article on People

Erin Andrews' Wordless Reaction to Ashley Mova's Outfit for Lakers Game

There has been no shortage of star power off the court in the Los Angeles Lakers' first-round NBA playoffs matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. As expected, some of the biggest celebrities have been coming out to support the Lakers at Arena as they battle a formidable Wolves side in the opening round. Advertisement Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews has not had the chance to catch the action live in L.A.'s first two home games of the postseason. Nevertheless, one particular individual caught the prominent sportscaster's attention. Andrews took to social media on Saturday to send a subtle shoutout to Lakers in-arena host Ashley Mova, who was spotted with a WEAR by EA jacket during the game. Andrews had a wordless reaction to Mova's outfit as the former shared a post from WEAR's official Instagram account. Mova, a TV personality who serves as the Lakers' host during home games at Arena, donned a WEAR by EA varsity-style Lakers jacket. It had a vintage Lakers logo on the purple body's left chest, and another Lakers-themed patch on one of the white sleeves. Miss Teen U.S.A. Pageant Queen Dies at 18 in Tragic Accident

A Miss U.S.A. Pageant Queen and activist died last weekend in a car accident, People and multiple other outlets reported. She was only 18 years old. Kadance Fredericksen, who was named the Miss Okaloosa County Teen representative for 2024's Miss Florida Teen U.S.A. Pageant, tragically died on Monday when her car crashed into a tractor-trailer truck around 1:30 p.m. local time. The other driver was a 56-year-old male who sustained only minor injuries in the crash. Details of the collision are not clear at this time. Authorities have not officially announced Fredericksen as the victim as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident are still ongoing. However, the Miss Florida U.S.A. Instagram account posted a lengthy statement memorializing their late delegate, and Fredericksen's family also confirmed the news to local media outlets."Our pageant community has lost a beautiful soul - one who was a true light in this world. She was ambitious, driven, kind, and a leader among her pageant sisters," the statement began. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and all who are mourning this devastating loss. May we honor her memory by carrying forward the light she so effortlessly shared with the world and our Florida pageant community," it concluded. Fredericksen's mother, Lisa, told WEAR that her daughter was 'the light' of her and her husband's life. Michelle Watts, Fredericksen's pageant coach, told WKRG: 'Even though she passed away at 18 years old, her life story and her life start song still sings…She is going to have such a legacy behind her. Fredericksen's alma mater, The Baker School, memorialized the 'exceptional young woman' in a statement posted to Facebook on Tuesday. "Kadance was a beacon of light in our community, known for her compassion, tireless advocacy for children in need, and unwavering dedication to making a difference," the statement read, calling this a "heartbreaking time" for the school, Fredericksen's family, and all those whom she touched.
