WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg is set to make his return to WWE programming on this coming Monday's episode of RAW in Green Bay, Wisconsin. According to a new report from Goldberg will be appearing regularly on RAW to build towards his long-awaited retirement match. This return comes just one week after his likely opponent, GUNTHER, won back the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Goldberg's Final Match While not officially announced by WWE, it is heavily rumored that Goldberg's final match will take place at the Saturday Night's Main Event on July 12 in Atlanta, Georgia. His opponent is expected to be GUNTHER, finally paying off an angle that began at WWE Bad Blood in October 2024 when Goldberg hopped the barricade to confront him. Goldberg has been training intensely for his farewell match at the Black Diamond Martial Arts facility in Texas. On his podcast, he has been candid about dealing with several injuries during his training as he works to get into peak condition to deliver the full Goldberg experience one last time. One of the very few I didn't meet that I just saw was there before was Goldberg. So when our eyes crossed, basically I was like, why not break some balls a little bit? [What] I've done [to] him, he doesn't seem to be able to take things lightly. I tried to lighten up the mood a little bit, but it' push comes to shove, and he thinks he wants to get back into the business and wrestle again, then I'm happy to teach him a lesson," Gunther said. Goldberg's Recent WWE Career Since returning to WWE in 2016, Goldberg has had several high-profile runs, often competing for world championships. He defeated Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship in 2017, leading to a match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. He won the same title for a second time in 2020 by defeating "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown. His last match in WWE was at the Elimination Chamber event in February 2022, where he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. His return to face the current World Heavyweight Champion, GUNTHER, sets the stage for a massive, cross-generational main event for his final bow. Drew McIntyre Reveals Off Limits Topic During CM Punk Feud

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Drew McIntyre has revealed there was one topic he considered off-limits during his intensely personal and brutal 2024 feud with CM Punk: their families. The rivalry between McIntyre and Punk was often praised for blurring the lines between storyline and reality. However, in a recent interview with Gorilla Position, McIntyre explained that while he and Punk didn't agree to any rules beforehand, he has a personal boundary he will not cross. "I mean, I've got personal rules, and I imagine he has something similar, family is off-limits," McIntyre stated (H/T to WrestleTalk). He noted that acknowledging CM Punk's wife, AJ Lee, was acceptable because of her history in wrestling, but he would not go further. "I would never say anything negative about her, she's a lovely person, unlike him," McIntyre clarified. "But no, that's just something personal for me and I imagine for himself, the way we were brought up, kind of old school, was like 'okay, it's nothing to do with your family, leave them out of it.'" The feud between the two stars culminated in a bloody Hell in a Cell match at WWE Bad Blood in October 2024, which was won by began 2025 by reigniting his intense rivalry with Damian Priest. The feud started with an elimination at the Royal Rumble and continued through the Elimination Chamber. It culminated at WrestleMania 41, when McIntyre defeated Priest in a brutal Sin City Street Fight. Goldberg Shares Rare Footage Hanging Out With Deion Sanders On The Sidelines

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg shared footage of hanging out on sidelines NFL legend Deion Sanders. Before Goldberg became a wrestling star, he played in the NFL and was teammates with Deion Sanders on the Atlanta Falcons. While Sanders became a Hall of Fame football player and now coaches the Colorado Buffaloes, Goldberg found success in professional wrestling. Advertisement The former WWE Universal Champion recently shared an old video of them hanging on the sidelines on X, formerly Twitter. Goldberg captioned the post with, 'Look how far we've come!' The WWE Hall of Famer gave a heartfelt nod to their long-standing friendship. While Sanders is currently the head football coach at the University of Colorado, his longtime friend Goldberg is currently preparing for his retirement match in WWE. Speculation is high that the Hall of Famer could have his final match against 'The Ring General' Gunther following their heated confrontation at WWE Bad Blood. Goldberg shares his thoughts on potential match with Gunther Last month, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he was asked if he liked the idea of facing Gunther in his retirement match. Advertisement 'If it was, then I guess I could look at it like I'm kind of passing the torch,' Goldberg said. 'He's a young talent, comparatively. He's part of the new generation. They need to be…I'm not gonna say lifted up, but I think if that were the case, if it was Gunther and I, it would be logical. There's some heat there, obviously, it's already been placed. He's the new generation, I'm the old generation. It's kind of like a passing of a torch in a way. I wouldn't turn that one down by any stretch of the imagination because you don't ever open your mouth in front of my wife and my son negatively about me.' 'The truth is, I'm 58 years old, man. Certain things are a lot harder than I used to be. I might be the only one in the world that has a 3,000 square foot gym on top of his garage and doesn't have a mirror in it. I don't want to not be that guy for the rest of my life. But I'm always gonna be that guy. Whether I'm on the football field, whether I'm in the wrestling ring, whether I'm doing my car show, whether I'm at a UFC event, I'm always that guy. If I'm gonna have to do this retirement match in 2025, I need to reacquaint myself with that guy more often. So I'm always gonna be that guy. I cannot wait to present him at 58 years old.'
