The Miz's WWE future in doubt amid social media silence and veteran releases

Image via WWE WWE has shocked fans recently with the release of veteran superstars R-Truth and Carlito. Both wrestlers were beloved figures who had long tenures with the company. Their departures came as contracts expired, sparking concerns among fans about the company's direction. R-Truth's exit was especially surprising given that he headlined Saturday Night's Main Event just days before parting ways with WWE. The roster shake-up led to immediate speculation about who might be next. All eyes quickly turned to The Miz, a seasoned WWE star known for his charisma and media presence. The Miz scrubs WWE references from social media In a move that has fans talking, The Miz removed all mentions of WWE from his social media profiles shortly after R-Truth's release. Once boasting the title 'the most must-see WWE Superstar,' his X bio now reads simply: 'the most must-read Twitter account of all time.' Moreover, he unfollowed WWE's official account, fueling speculation that his WWE status might be in jeopardy. The Miz's online behavior is unusual for someone still fully engaged with WWE, especially given his typical role as a vocal promoter and ambassador of the brand. Wrestling insider Bryan Alvarez weighed in on the situation during a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live . Alvarez confirmed that The Miz is currently involved with Amazon Prime's reboot of American Gladiators, which may explain some of his recent absence from WWE programming. However, Alvarez added, 'I just think it would be a pretty lame thing to do if you're not being released - when everyone else has been released. So where there's smoke, there could be fire.' Such comments have fans wondering if WWE is quietly preparing to phase out the 44-year-old superstar. Despite the growing rumours, WWE has not confirmed any plans regarding The Miz's contract. Reports from wrestling news outlets indicate that The Miz has not been officially informed about any potential release or non-renewal. Still, with WWE focusing on refreshing its roster and moving on from long-tenured stars, uncertainty around The Miz's future remains high. Since signing with WWE in 2004 and debuting on the main roster in 2006, The Miz has been a consistent presence in professional wrestling. He holds two WWE Championships and nine tag team titles, marking him as one of the company's most successful performers. Whether The Miz's social media moves signal a temporary break or the beginning of the end of his WWE career, fans will be watching closely for updates.

Did John Cena win at WrestleMania? Result from Undisputed WWE Championship match Show Caption Hide Caption Damian Priest explains how Bad Bunny took WWE training seriously Damian Priest recalls how Bad Bunny took his WWE appearance seriously and how he raised the bar for other celebrity cameos. LAS VEGAS — The last time at WrestleMania is now for John Cena. The WWE icon competed in his final WrestleMania match Sunday, April 20 at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. After a storied career as the face of wrestling, Cena is on his farewell tour as 2025 will be his last year wrestling. Cena has been in plenty of big matches at WrestleMania, and this year was no different as he challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WWE's spectacle. Even though Cena has been on a heel turn and has berated fans, those that watched his entire wrestling career hope to see him come up victorious at the biggest event of the year and break the record for most WWE Championships. Here's how Cena did at WrestleMania 41: Did John Cena win at WrestleMania 41? Result John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 41 to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. What happened in John Cena's match? Cena was in control for the majority of the match against Rhodes, showing off flashes of his youth and vintage performance. He hit several Attitude Adjustments and did the five-knuckle shuffle and STF. The climax of the match came when the referee was knocked down inadvertently. As Rhodes tried to get the referee up, Cena exposed one of the turnbuckles and Cena pushed Rhodes into it twice before hitting an AA. He went for the pin as the referee recovered, but Rhodes somehow kicked out. Out of nowhere, Travis Scott emerged from the stage as "Fein" played inside Allegiant Stadium. He came down and met Cena in the ring, and Rhodes saw an opening on the challenger. He hit Cena with a Cody cutter and went for the pin, but Scott dragged the referee out. Rhodes and Scott went face-to-face and Scott tried to hit him, only for Rhodes to stop it and deliver a Cross Rhodes. Rhodes turned his back and Cena was waiting to hit him with the title. Rhodes stopped it and threatened to hit him with the title, but while Rhodes hesitated, Cena saw his opportunity and delivered a low blow. Cena grabbed the title and hit Rhodes with it, just like he did at Elimination Chamber. Cena dragged the referee back in and the pin was successful to capture the title. John Cena breaks WWE record Cena stands alone in WWE's highest achievement as he's now a 17-time WWE Champion. He breaks the tie with Ric Flair for most wins for WWE's top title. The victory at WrestleMania 41 is the first time Cena has been champion since February 2017. The seven-year drought was the longest of his career.
