WWE Superstar Undergoes Surgery
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE NXT talent Wren Sinclair has revealed she recently underwent shoulder surgery, confirming that the procedure went smoothly. The promising superstar shared the news with fans via her Instagram account. Sinclair posted a time-lapse video that documented her journey through the surgical process, from pre-operative preparations to her post-surgery recovery. In the accompanying caption, she optimistically wrote, "Surgery was a success." This update provides a positive first step in her journey back to the ring, though no official timetable for her return has been announced. Sinclair, formerly known by names including Jakara Jackson (and referred to as "Reece" in the social media post where she announced her surgery), hasn't competed since a WWE NXT live event in Bartow, Florida, on March 22, 2025. At that show, she faced Karmen Petrovic in a singles contest. Before signing with WWE and joining the NXT brand, Sinclair, as Madi Wrenkowski, made a name for herself on the independent circuit and also made appearances for AEW. She officially signed with WWE in 2023, initially performing under the name Jakara Jackson on NXT Level Up and NXT television. More news: WWE News: Steve Austin Reveals Real-Life Vince McMahon Confrontation During her time as Jackson, she was frequently featured alongside talent like Malik Blade, Edris Enofe, and Oro Mensah, forming an alliance known as "The Meta-Four" for a period with Mensah, Noam Dar, and Lash Legend. More recently, she was repackaged as Wren Sinclair, showcasing a more intense persona. Sexyy Red performs during NXT at The Factory on October 8, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri. Showing off the evolving landscape of wrestling partnerships, she even made a notable crossover appearance on TNA iMPACT! earlier in 2025, a rare opportunity stemming from WWE's collaboration with TNA Wrestling. We wish her a speedy recovery. WWE is giving its talent and those in TNA a good opportunity as they can work on each other's brands. In the case of Reece, she needs all the reps and time in the ring as possible. Being able to branch out to TNA and work with their talent is a positive thing that can only help her in the long run. It will be interesting to see where WWE goes with her once she returns to action. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.

Fan-Favorite WWE Star Furious Over Personal Details Being Leaked
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE star Karrion Kross has become increasingly popular in recent months, partly due to his adeptness at blurring the lines between on-screen character and real-life frustrations. One such frustration he recently addressed is the leaking of his WWE contract details, information he believes should have remained private. His current WWE contract is reportedly set to expire later in 2025, and Kross is not pleased that this became public knowledge. During a candid interview with Ariel Helwani, Kross was asked about the contract details leaking online and admitted, "That put me over the edge. I think that happened online shortly after AOP and Ellering were gone. It was just kind of one thing after another. I'm still pretty pissed about that." He added, "I don't know who did it, it's impossible to say, I have no idea. But, I was kind of out of my mind at that moment, so it's kinda hard to put myself back there." When pressed on why the leak bothered him so intensely, Kross emphasized, "It's just privacy... Who the hell is supposed to know about that? Stuff gets leaked all the time." "That put me over the edge because that was also happening shortly after AOP and Ellering were gone. It was just like kind of one thing after another. I'm still pretty pissed about that. Kross revealed the promo resonated strongly with many of his peers. He stated that he received a standing ovation backstage the next day, with numerous Superstars thanking him for speaking up, some even reportedly moved to tears. However, Kross also acknowledged that the candid outburst wasn't universally well-received within the company. Since delivering that headline-making promo, Kross has yet to compete in a main roster televised match, with his only in-ring appearances being two matches on WWE Main Event recorded around WrestleMania weekend. This has led to further fan speculation about his current standing and future direction within the company as his contract year progresses. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
