At the end of that night, the former WWE Champion was taken out, alongside Roman Reigns, by new Paul Heyman Guys, and Bron Breakker who cemented the formation of a new alliance. However, Punk made his return at the end of this week's edition of Monday Night RAW. AJ Styles Highlights Why Tapping Out In Pro Wrestling Is A Smart Decision
AJ Styles knows it's ok to tap out in the Octagon— or the squared circle. Styles has wrestled a lot of stars throughout his wrestling career. Recently, Styles shared that the Samoa Joe, was one of the best wrestlers he has shared a ring with. Styles reflected on working with Joe in TNA during his appearance at a Fanatics Live Signing at WWE World. 'The Phenomenal One' wrestled Joe countless times over the years, and Styles reflected on one of the contests that saw him tap out to Joe early in his TNA run. Advertisement AJ Styles opened up about the significance of tapping out, which was not as common in pro wrestling as it was in mixed martial arts at the time. Styles mentioned that the competitor who is tapping out is smart, as he does not want to have his arm broken or doesn't want to pass out. AJ Styles explains why tapping out to Samoa Joe was the right choice 'There was a match that we had in TNA. And I remember he choked me out and there was a big thing about, 'Oh you don't wanna tap out to the [new guy coming in]… You know, get choked out.' [I'm like], 'What are you talking about? I don't know if you have heard of the UFC. People tap out all the time,' Styles pointed out. 'Because they are smart and they really don't want to go to sleep. Or they don't want their arm broken.' 'So, in that match, and you know what? [Samoa] Joe was new coming in. And it was an amazing match and it made that match so much better than I was able to tap out. I think, and, the Samoan Submission was one of the best I've ever been in the ring with,' AJ Styles added. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe have wrestled each other on multiple occasions in Ring Of Honor and WWE as well. This also includes another submission decision at WWE Hell In A Cell 2018, which ended in a somewhat controversial fashion. Advertisement Joe, the challenger to Styles' WWE Championship, attempted to lock in the Coquina Clutch and force Styles to submit. Styles countered out of the move and reversed it into a pinning combination. After the match, Joe maintained that Styles had tapped out before a pin attempt. However, the referee counted to three and the decision was made in Styles' favor. Do you agree with AJ Styles about tapping out? Joe Hendry Details The ‘Military Operation' To Keep Him Hidden Before Wrestlemania Match With Randy Orton
Joe Hendry details how he stopped his surprise WrestleMania debut from leaking ahead of time. One of the biggest surprises at WrestleMania 41 was the WrestleMania debut of Joe Hendry. The current TNA World Champion was the one to answer Randy Orton's open challenge. During a recent edition of TNA's Press Pass podcast, WrestleZone's Managing Editor Bill Pritchard asked Hendry how he prepared for the match and managed to stay hidden until his match. Advertisement Hendry said he appreciated both TNA and WWE for keeping him a secret from everybody. He also shared that the match was all about creating moments and it indeed created a moment. 'This was a military operation. You know how rare it is, Bill, for secrets not to get out in professional wrestling? We weren't even in the betting odds. That's… That is how well this was kept a secret. And I'm extremely proud of that. That's so hard to do in professional wrestling. And that's a testament to TNA Wrestling, to WWE, and to my management team as well. All worked together to coordinate everything perfectly. I just had an amazing experience,' Hendry explained. 'There was no run-through of the entrance because we couldn't. Because people would know. So, that shows you how slick WWE's production is and how great the communication is between WWE and TNA. If you look at that entrance, that looks like that would have taken rehearsals.' Joe Hendry is extremely proud of his work at WrestleMania 41 Hendry said that everything was ready for him, which he says is a testament to how amazing the production and the team are at WWE. Advertisement 'The fact that we didn't have a run-through and it was that cool with the doors opening and the visuals that we had. And even just little things like when we're waving the hands from side to side, and the camera follows you, And if you look at the RKO, Randy is completely out of shot and then he comes in. And it's… Look, people can say whatever they want about it. But our job is go and create a moment and that's exactly what happened. That's exactly what we did. We did exactly what was best for that show at that time. And I'm extremely proud of it. 'I was very hidden. What happened was, we're again similar to Rumble, I had appearances at WWE World so, it wasn't unusual for me to be there. I was in a tinted vehicle, I changed into a disguise, I had a hoodie, I had shades, I had the COVID mask, I had everything going on. I was like Inspector Gadget in the back there. Right? I got on the… And then, I'm telling you, they got these little golf carts and they are fast. They are fast. They had me on the back of one of these things. Boom. Straight to a secret room. You're in, no one saw anything. It was a military operation,' Joe Hendry said. Despite suffering a loss at WrestleMania 41, Hendry gained his momentum back by retaining his TNA World Heavyweight Championship at the TNA Rebellion pay-per-view. Seth Rollins Highlights How Parenthood Changed Him As A WWE Superstar
Former WWE World Champion Seth Rollins opened up about how becoming a father transformed his outlook on life and his career. Rollins and WWE Superstar Becky Lynch have been in a relationship since 2019. The couple got engaged that August. They welcomed their daughter, Roux, in December 2020. Seth and Becky officially tied the knot in June 2021. Advertisement Since then, Rollins and Lynch have often taken Roux with them on the road during WWE tours. During a recent appearance at WWE World, Rollins explained how fatherhood and marriage shifted his priorities. 'I think what that's done is it's opened up an entire new world for me in my career, because I have somebody else to live for. I have another priority that's more important than myself. And so, when I jump back in the car and put my foot on the gas, it's not just for me. It's for her and for her future.' 'But it also allows me to do it in a way that is, in some ways, more productive, because I have less pressure. Like, it's not the most important thing in the world for me to be the greatest you know what I mean? What's most important in the world for me is that I'm the greatest dad, that I'm the best husband I can be. And it's allowed me to kind of have a different perspective on my career and what it means to be successful.' Seth Rollins explains how he can still work with CM Punk despite hating him Speaking at WWE World, Seth Rollins was asked by Daniel Cormier how he's able to work with his former mentor despite not liking him on a personal and professional level. Advertisement 'Look, I am a professional, through and through. And I've said it time and time again. I said it on Monday. I will always do what is best for business. And I think that's what separates me from CM Punk and from Roman Reigns. CM Punk has proven, no matter what he says to you guys. He will always do what's best for CM Punk. And if that includes taking his ball and going home and crying when he has to, that's what he's going to do.' Rollins also mentioned he doesn't trust his former mentor. He finished by saying he'll take every opportunity to knock out Punk. 'And if that means that I got to put my pride aside and get in the ring with CM Punk, then I will do that. But I will tell you this and this is as real as it gets. I do not like CM Punk, I do not respect CM Punk. I have a hard time being in the same room with him and having conversations in his space. And I don't trust him and I don't trust that he's back with all these good intention. And that it's going to last and so, time may prove me wrong. I am open to being wrong. But right now, I have no love lost with CM Punk. And I will take every opportunity I can to knock him out.'
